Centralized user authentication
The aim of this project refers to creating a LAN for supporting the environment of windows server and the client. The organization named as Charlie chocolates manufacturing is selected, where its office needs LAN set-up. This office is present in east Perth. Charlie chocolates manufacturing contains four departments namely- Inventory department, marketing department, sales department and accounting department. The discussion is on proposing a new LAN for the organization. Next, the following LAN services will be studied- Centralized user authentication and print server for the users. From the server, it automatically gets the IP addresses and hosts its own website with the help of their own server.
This report utilizes Active directory, which is referred as the centralized user authentication. Basically, for providing the domain and the directory services, the activity directory is used, as it organizes the space for windows. It includes collection of services as well as the procedures. Moreover, it is used by the domain administration. Domain controller refers to an actively running Active directory which benefits space utilization. For the windows space arrangement, the Active directory is used to approve and validate all the clients as well as the PCs. It authorizes and carries the security methods for each and every client. This directory is basically utilized for checking the submitted password and finds whether the client is a typical or the overseer client. It utilizes the component of approval and validation for checking whether the client falls under the category of ordinary or overseer customer. It also allows the data capacity and administration for providing the approval and confirmation. Even it sets up the services of the organization. For instance, correct administration services, lightweight directory services, united services and testament services. Active directory services have various other directory services. A highly identifiable administration refers to Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), which could grant to oversee and on top of that it allows data storing related to assets from the system [1].
Active directory server refers to a directory benefit, which is primarily used to build up the windows domain systems. It is accessible in the majority of the windows server working frameworks. Like a gathering of procedures and services. At first this AD utilized just to manage a brought together domain administration. The reason for Active directory venture is essentially moderate all the earth into a solitary AD woods, which will give the a few advantages.

For configuring the active directory, first install it in the server manager.
For starting the installation, select the option Next which appears on the wizard of Add roles and features [2].
Next, choose the role based as its installation type.
From the option of server pool select the server selection.
From the server roles option select Active directory domain services’ option. Then, check the option Next.
As shown in the below figure, choose the option AD DS.
For beginning the installation, select install option from the confirmation window.

Thus, the process of installation is done.
Configuration on Active directory
For initializing active directory’s configuration, select the option of AD DS which appears on the window’s left side.
The below represented window shows the details which lists the tasks of the server.
For beginning the configuration window, select option of deployment configuration. Then, choose the deployment operation such as, Add a new forest. Finally, select the next option [3].
Fill the password of DSRM, which is present in the option of domain controller.
As represented in the image, fill the name of NetBIOS.
Print Server’s Installation and Configuration
Initially, the user must log in to the Windows Server domain admin. Then, it is required to open the Server Manager console.
In Windows Server, for installing and configuring the print server the following steps must be followed- First the users are required to install the services role of Print and Documents. Then, move on to the dashboard of Server Manager and next choose the Manage tab. Further, it is required to choose, “Add roles and features” option.
Choose “Role based or feature base installation”, and proceed with the Next button.
In Server Pool, choose server.
Select the server which is required and choose the option Next.
From the Server Roles page, choose and select the check box on the services of Print and Document.
Configure Print Server
Then, it is required to install the component and features, so choose the option, Add Features and tap on the button, Next. It is necessary to let the Features page as default and then continue with the button Next. However, for print and document services it is not necessary to install any features. Thus, on this page there is no need to do anything. Further, make sure to go through and understand all the notifications present on the page of Print and Document Services. Then proceed with the selection of next button [4].
Print Server
From Role Services, it is required to choose the options, Print Server and Internet Printing.
For installation of IIS web server along with the components and features, choose the option Add Feature.
At last, press the button Close, for finishing the process of installation process. This will successfully complete the Print and document services.
Printer Installation
Using the print management make sure to make the installation of the printers. Then, the print management console must be opened from the tools tab which is present on the Server Manager.
Add Printer
Print Servers must be expanded, and next the option Printers must be right clicked. Then press the button option called Add printer. After that, with the help of the existing port choose the option add a new printer and then press on the button Next.
Select the option called, Install a new driver. Then, press the next button.
Select the option called proper printer. Then, press the next button.
Enter the necessary information, then put a check mark on the check box of the option called, Share this printer. Then, press on the button Next [5].
At last, choose the button Finish, this completes the task of installation.
You can view the new printers by checking the print management console.
Complete the Installation along with configuration of DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Server, in the Windows Server 2012 R2. DHCP refers to the center systems administration convention for consequently sending the IP (Internet Protocol) address for arranging the customers. In systems ranging from small to medium and extensive systems, the arrangement of IP address is done using DHCP Server, which for the customer PCs assigns the IP delivers and then it decreases the IP administration’s task. The DHCP convention can be accessed by most of the used Wireless Access point devices which for home clients has preconfiguring of the essential DHCP administrations.
First, the server supervisor present in the windows server 2012 must be opened.
The start page is used for starting the process of installation by pressing on, Next button.
Role based installation must be chosen.
From server pool select, server.
Select DHCP server. Then, press on the button, Next [6].
Press on the Add features button.
Later, the Net framework 3.5 features must be selected.
Then, press on the next button.
Press on the button install for initializing installation process.
Configuration of DHCP
For starting the process of DHCP configuration, press on the next button.
Select the user name to be, business administrator and then, press on the commit button.
Printer Installation
From the left column and right click on IPV4. Then, choose the option, new scope.
Then, press on the button next.
Next, fill in the scope name as, business. Then, press the next button.
For the scope of assigning the IP address, fill the range of the IP address.
Include the exclusion [7].
It is now needed to set the duration of the default lease.
Later, select Yes.
Follow the process by adding the gateway’s IP address.
Later, mention the DNS server’s domain name.
For the WINS server, mention the IP address.
Select Yes, in the wizard of Active scope.
Now, the completion of New scope wizard takes place, by pressing on the button Finish.
For starting the failover configuration, click the option called configure failover which is present in DHCP window.
Press on, select all option.
Then press on the option, Add server to add the partner server.
Lastly, press on the button Finish for closing and finalizing DHCP Server’s installation in Windows Server 2012 R2
Initially, we must install IIS configuration in the server manager, for starting the IIS configuration. The server manager dashboard is represented in the following figure.
The process of installation begins with the option next.
Installation type must be selected as, Role based. Then move on with the option next [8].
From the option of server pool, select the server option.
For installing the web server, choose the server role as webserver IIS as represented below.
Next, from the wizard open the option of Web server role. Then, select the option Next.
Choose FTP server and FTP service from Role services for starting the process of installation.
Choose the button of install from the confirmation window for starting the process of installation.
As shown in the following image, this shows the completion of the installation process.
The Server Manager must be opened, then choose IIS and right click on the server. Further, it is required to choose the option called as, IIS Manager.
Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
From Connections pane, it is necessary to right-click on Sites node which is present in the tree. Then proceed by pressing the option Add Website.

- From Add Website discourse box and from the Site name box, fill site’s well-disposed name.
- If you wish to select the alternate application pool in contrast to the one that is recorded in the Application Pool box, then press on Select. From Select Application Pool discourse box, choose the application pool which is available in Application Pool rundown. Later, press on the OK button.
- Fill the site envelope’s physical way, or press peruse catch for exploring the recorded framework so as to discover the organizer.
- If the physical way that you entered in the past advance is to a remote offer, click Connect as to indicate accreditations that have consent to get to the way. - From Type list, select convention, for the site.
- If you must find the static IP address of the site (this will set All Unassigned), in the IP address box, then fill the IP address.

- Press the button OK.
Adding the Website Forms
From IIS Manager and in the Features View, it is required to double-click the option called Authentication.

For setting the security principle, right click and choose the option Edit.

Configuration on Active directory
If you require arranging any specific client account whose IIS uses to get to the website or the application, select particular client. Then, press, Set for opening the Set Credentials discourse box. Further, type the client name along with their pwd. Then, press on OK button.
If you require the IIS procedures for running with the help of record which is correctly referred to the property page for the application pool, choose the Application pool personality. Thus, this character refers to the IUSR account.
For closing the Edit Anonymous Authentication Credentials exchange box, press on the OK button.

From the IIS Manager, in the Features View double-click the option Compression.

Choose the option Add from the Actions sheet.
Fill the record name which must be added to the rundown with default archives. Later snap on the option OK. The record name is included at the default archive list’s highest point.
Then, from the rundown and in the Actions sheet, choose a default report, click. For changing the document’s priority use Move Up or Move Down.
Alternatively, from rundown choose the default record, and from Actions sheet choose Discard for expelling any of the document names which you might want to avoid using the default archives.

Choose the option, Enable static content compression and choose the option Apply.

Now, one can test the site by accompanying: select browse *:80 (http) option from the site/in the Action sheet.
Conclusion
This project successfully created the LAN for supporting the environment of windows server and the client. The organization named as Charlie chocolates manufacturing is selected, where its office needs LAN set-up. This office is present in east Perth. Charlie chocolates manufacturing contains four departments namely- Inventory department, marketing department, sales department and accounting department. The LAN that is proposed newly comprises of organizational unit for its departments. Then, it even needs the following LAN services- Centralized user authentication and print server for the users. From the server, it automatically gets the IP addresses and hosts its own website with the help of their own server.
