Leadership is indicative of a practical skill that delves with the ability of an individual of being able to guide other individuals along with teams. It refers to a process pertaining to social influence by taking recourse to which an individual can support others so that they can accomplish a particular task (Banks et al., 2016). Educational leadership implies a collaborative process that can help in uniting the teachers, students along with the parents. The stage of primary teaching needs good amount of leadership skills because it forms the formative stage in their life and the right kind of guidance can have a great impact on the development of the children.
Transformational leadership refers to a style in which a leader works along with the subordinates so that it can help in identifying the needed change. The transformational leaders creates a vision that helps in bringing about change with the help of inspiring other people. Transformational leadership in the field of education can prove to be extremely useful as it can help in enhancing the motivation of the students that can augment their academic performance. The elementary school teachers have to play a decisive role in shaping the path pertaining to education of the students. The transformation leadership provided by the primary school teachers can help in establishing a solid foundation pertaining to learning (McCleskey, 2014). The transformation leadership within the ambit of primary education can act as a role model that can help in inspiring the students. With the help of their distinctive personality, the transformational leader in the field of education can help in developing the intellect of the children. Primary school accounts to be the first time when the children have to work within a strict educational environment and great amount of support is needed by the students at this stage (Roueche, Baker III & Rose, 2014). A school does not always work smoothly and different kinds of circumstances arise within that of the learning environment. A teacher has to show leadership skills in respect to staff, students along with the parents. A transformational teacher can create the experience in the classroom that can help in making the students care about the aspect of learning. Transformational teaching within the primary school environment involves in a lot of analysis that can help in changing the perspective of the students. A transformational teacher can create constructivist experiences that can have a profound impression on the minds of the primary school students (Dong et al., 2017).
Transformational Leadership
The role of the teacher within the learning environment is the transmission of information to the learners and the learner is supposed to act upon this kind of information. Transformational teaching provides opportunity to the students so that they can ask questions and the teacher plays an active role in solving the real-world problems pertaining to the children. The transformational teacher can inspire the students with the help of his distinctive personality and he organizes the students into that of learning groups (Mitchell, Kensler & Tschannen-Moran, 2015). He makes the learning segment manageable with the help of his modelling along with mastery. A transformational teacher in the primary school focuses on the aspect of the students perspective by the help of facilitation of rich experiences. A transformational teacher encourages that of class room discussions that can help in inspiring the students to learn (Moolenaar & Sleegers, 2015). A transformational teacher can help in the preservation of the positive climate within that of the learning environment by convincing the other staffs about the significance of his manner of teaching. The parents of the students of the primary school often have a lot of apprehensions in relation to their wards. A transformational teacher plays an important role in convincing the parents so that they feel satisfied with the procedures and the manner of delivery of learning of the school (Angelle, 2017).
A teacher working in the field of servant leadership engages with the primary school students that can lead to their development. He works on the arena of development of people so that they can fit into the structure of the school. A servant leader undergoes continuous reinvention as they are learning continuously. They can then make use of the knowledge and apply it to different kinds of situations. He can bring about changes in the structure of the school in the event of it no longer serving that needs pertaining to the students. A teacher having traits of servant leadership builds relationship on the basis of trust along with authenticity. A servant leader lays greater stress on the needs of other people as compared to their own and it focuses on the development of the students. Servant leader in the field of primary teaching acts as they servant first and then as the leader. In this kind of leadership, the teacher provides opportunity to the students so that they can play a large role in the determination of the instructional methods (DiPaola & Hoy, 2015). It thus serves to respect the opinion of the primary school students that leaves a lasting impression on the minds of the students. Providing the students with importance helps in encouraging them that can help in improving the academic performance of the students. The students can act in the autonomous manner within the learning environment and the teacher plays the role of a facilitator who helps in guiding the students (Fraise & Brooks, 2015).
Servant Leadership
The advantages pertaining to servant leadership is in relation to altruism along with simplicity. Altruism is displayed as it helps in emphasizing on the concern that one have for the others. The unselfish concern in relation to the others can involve personal sacrifice and it helps in bringing improvements in the learning environment of the primary school (Leithwood, 2016). The servant leadership can act as the ideal style of leadership for the teachers who want to move into the field of management. In an organisation, an employee has to work under a hierarchical structure and showing traits pertaining to servant leadership can greatly benefit the employee. Respecting the point of view that other people have and listening patiently to other people can greatly serve an individual walking into the field of management. It can hence act as the ideal leadership style and can greatly benefit the individual (Dong et al., 2017). Verbal persuasion can entail that of specific performance feedback and it helps in emphasizing on the altruism dimension in relation to servant leadership. The leaders provide positive appraisal that can be of benefit for the individual follower even at the cost of the leader (Yang, 2014).
Roles pertaining to educational leader varies from that of coach, teacher and that of counsellor. The aspect of leading helps in creation of a vision and it helps in the creation of a structure that can help the vision in getting implemented. A primary school teacher displaying traits of moral leadership can prove to be vital for the institution as it can help the children in the formation of sound principles along with moral ideologies (Li, Hallinger & Ko, 2016). This can help in their healthy development as this stage is very crucial for their entire life. The educators can influence the moral development of the students by acting as good role model and by the distinctive aspects that they bring into the relationship. A teacher working on moral principles can help in developing the moral energy along with ideology in relation to the students. This can prove to be of great importance for the children at the primary level as this is the stage when the children learns a lot about morality. The maturity shown by the adults show in their day-to-day behaviour has great influence on the moral development of the students. The ethical capacities of the primary school teachers can have a bearing on the entire course of life of the children and the teachers displaying aspects of moral leadership can contribute to a great extent for the all-round development of an individual (Snoek et al., 2017). The exquisite sensitivity that the students have for their teachers at the primary level can prove to be very beneficial in imbibing moral principles in the children. The students follow the teacher in the primary school and the principals exhibiting these traits can help in bringing about positive changes in relation to the values of the students. The ethical conduct along with effective leadership practice can prove to be the key that can help in transforming the institution of school. It has been found that the school effectiveness is linked to that of instructional conditions that can impact the academic performance of the students (Gross & Shapiro, 2015). The values within that of the primary school structure can have repurcussions on the behaviour along with the performance of the students at the school. The effective of the performance of the students can be augmented by inculcating sound leadership principles within the school (Moolenaar & Sleegers, 2015).

A transformational leader can prove to be an asset for an educational institution as it can provide motivation to the students. A teacher working on the principles of transformational leadership can shape the future of the students by the help of their strong leadership skills. A servant leader is always learning and he maintains an open mind that helps in increasing his knowledge. The knowledge that is gathered by the servant teacher can be applied in various kinds of situations that can help in bringing positive outcome for the primary school. The rules and principles that are no longer serving the interest of the school can be changed by the servant leader for bringing about improvements in the institution. The teachers showing moral leadership can be of great help for the school and it can help the primary students in forming good habits along with moral principles. This can pave the path for the healthy development of the students which can prove to be of great use for them at a later stage of their life. The teachers can play an important role in moral development of students and they can act a good role model for bringing about improvements in the behaviour of the children.
