1. Effectiveness and Usefulness of Learning Experience
I have used the data analysis method for organizing, verifying, tabulating, cross-correlating and statistically analyzing every data as well as preparing preliminary projections and reaching preliminary conclusions. I have used the data acquisition method to gather secondary data that includes market statistics, financials, product, technical, competitive and client data, as well as did the gathering of primary data onsite, and via telephone, mail, competitors, suppliers, distributors as well as users.
I have conducted the business research, which is based on employee satisfaction and have discovered that employee satisfaction is highly significant regarding the success and efficiency of every business or organization. It is very much essential within an organization since the organizational efficiency and outcome is having a huge dependence on it. In this regard, I have taken into consideration certain factors that might influence employee satisfaction such as the nature of job, balanced lifestyle, space in respect of growth and development of career, flexibility, relation with supervisors, financial rewards, as well as the conditions for working (Hair 2014).
I will be undertaking the research design by following the methodology that will be including the four aspects of situation audit and project design, acquisition of data, analysis of data and conclusion as well as developing the scenario and recommending the strategies, which will assist in planning the process of research. I have used the situation audit and project design method to evaluate situation requirements, competencies and resources, as well as finalizing the opportunities and designing the research projects. I have used the data acquisition method to gather secondary data that includes market statistics, financials, product, technical, competitive and client data, as well as did the gathering of primary data onsite, and via telephone, mail, competitors, suppliers, distributors as well as users. I have used the data analysis method for organizing, verifying, tabulating, cross-correlating and statistically analyzing every data as well as preparing preliminary projections and reaching preliminary conclusions (McMillan 2014). I have also used scenario development and strategy recommendation method for devising strategic alternatives including marketing, organizational, product, competitive and M&A as well as preparing final projections and formulating the final conclusions. Moreover, I have also used the two kinds of research analysis that are qualitative research and quantitative research. Both of them are including the processes such as data collection, sampling techniques, sample size as well as data analysis.
I have conducted the literature review regarding employee satisfaction, as it is essential towards increasing the organizational profitability. The satisfaction of the employees will be enabling in bringing out the innovative thinking within a staff that will be assisting in organizational growth. I have also written the primary and secondary research questions that are vey essential aspect of the research proposal and will be assisting in actualizing the research goals and the research objectives (Ott 2015).
2. How the Learning Process Will Be Useful
I have taken into account the ethical and legal consideration of business research since, these aspects will be providing assistance to promote the aims of research such as knowledge, truth and averting the commitment of any flaws. Moreover, the ethical aspects will assist in the promotion of values that are essential regarding work collaboration that take into consideration the directives in respect of authorship, policies regarding copyright as well as patenting, and rules of confidentiality in respect of re-assessment of peers (Smith 2015).
I have used qualitative research process in this business research to explore the behavioural aspects, experiences and character of the subjects that have been considered. The nature and behavioural aspect of the staffs that work in the departmental stores within Australia have been evaluated in the present case study. The sampling method that I have used is systematic sampling. The sample size that I have taken include 30 staffs whose interview will be done from five different Australian departmental stores. The analysis experts have undertaken the data analysis (Miles 2013).
For undertaking the qualitative research, I have taken into consideration the interviews and focus groups aspect. To design the structure of the interview, I did the framing of questions that have yielded sufficient amount of information in respect of the research and addressed the aims of the research and objectives regarding research. All the questions were open ended, unbiased and clear. In addition, the focus groups were used for generating information in regard to the shared views and the scenario concerning the using of focus groups considered the research aspect related with the group types, methods and meanings, exploration of a topic or collection of group language or narratives, which will be used afterwards (Good 2013).
The analysis of the qualitative data will take place in two parts, which are the primary level and the higher level. The content regarding investigation will involve the aspect of coding as well as sorting of data. The qualitative methods such as data collection will be including the aspects of interviewing, observation as well as document evaluation. I have used certain tools for undertaking the qualitative data analysis such as online forums, online communications, web surveys, focus groups as well as depth interviews (Glesne 2015).
I have used the quantitative research process with the major goal towards quantifying the data and generalizing the results from a sample to the population of interest. The quantitative research process take into consideration theory, hypothesis, research design, devising the concept measures, selecting the site of research, data collection, preparation of data, analysis and interpretation, drawing conclusion and report writing. I have selected the methods of data collection such as street questionnaire, online questionnaire and telephonic interviews in respect of quantitative research since, there is the requirement for collecting increasing number of data. In the current case study, data is being collected via telephonic interviews. I have used random sampling technique regarding quantitative research and a sample of 60 employees of around 8 departmental stores have been considered from Australia (Friese 2014). The analysis of data was can be done through the use of statistical processes.
I have used open-ended questions that are mostly unbiased and clear and there wasn’t any use of close-ended questions. I did the designing of the questionnaire in such a way that most of the topic was covered and the questions could satisfy all the queries that would assist in the business research process (Silvermann 2016).
I have performed the activities for research by taking into consideration the project objective, project scope, literature review, research question, research design, research limitation as well as the total days to complete the activities.
I have considered using the random sampling technique regarding quantitative research and a sample of 60 employees of around 8 departmental stores have been considered from Australia. The random sampling methods used were random, cluster, stratified random and systematic.
I have undertaken the combination of data that considered two traits that are component design as well as integrated design. Component design included the aspect of data collection independently and integrated design included the aspect of combining different options regarding the evaluation of significant understandings (Bryman 2015).
Conclusion
I have selected the methods of data collection such as street questionnaire, online questionnaire and telephonic interviews in respect of quantitative research since, there is the requirement for collecting increasing number of data. In the current case study, data is being collected via telephonic interviews.
