Value Chain Model of Porter
There are various process for the management of the business. However, managing the business certain things are needed to be considered. The business of the Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park has been evaluated in this paper (Sharma, Mithas & Kankanhalli,2014). In this context different aspects of the business from the different perspective can be evaluated through the application of the various business models. The assumptions are made from the discussion which helps to identify the flow of the business process of Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park.
The business process is the flow of the activity that provides the guideline to the management for using the resources to achieve the desired goals for the organization. The process model can be categorized in to different categories (Riggins & Wamba, 2015). One of such category is the value chain model of Porter. The idea behind the value chain model is to view to the process of providing service to the organization as the collection of subsystems and the inputs along with the different functionalities (Metzger et al.,2015). The Porter’s value chain model consists of the inbound logistic , operation ,outbound logistics, marketing and sales. The improvement and the managing of the business process will achieve the business goals of the organization. Apart from that the main advantage of the Porter’s value chain is that the resources and the cost for the development of the business process can be measured.
The application of the porter’s value chain can be applied for the development of the business process of Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park. The main objective of this business process is to provide the right accommodation to the people who will stay at the camping parks. There are certain facilities those are needed to be provided to the users. In this case large amount of the resources are needed to establish the accommodation and the analysis of the result of the market situation are needed to be done.

Capability Maturity Model is concerned about the refinement of the process of the business. It is the collective structure of the elements those indicate the progress of the whole business process. There are five steps in the capability maturity model-initialization, manage, defined, measured , optimization.
In case of Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park the initial phase of the development is very complicated and ambiguous. To understand the available resources and the requirements the managing of the requirements and the resources are needed (Chen et al.,2015). The works and the processes are needed to be defined in the course of the development of the camping accommodation in Crater lake. The objective of the Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping Park is measurable as the objective of this project is to provider proper accommodation to the people during camping. The optimization of the resources and the time will help the organization to deliver the right outcome without wastage of resources and time.
Capability Maturity Model
For the managing of the administrative functions which includes keeping the track of the visitors and maintaining their identity along with the identification is a complex process. In order to manage the administrative process the implementation of the enterprise resource management can be done. There are various ERP software which allows the organization to manage the various processes and the modules of the functioning (Schulte et al.,2015).Crater Lakes Caravan and Camping can use of the available ERP software applications for managing different functions and merging of the of the operations of management and the business process. The use of the ERP software will be helpful for managing the business .
Process model for support: In order to support the consumers and helping them to provide the right information is important for the better customer experience (Tandoc Jr,2014). Apart from that the managing of the finance and providing the implementation of the ICT and human resources in the organization the implementation of the emerging technology is needed to be done. In order to process the requests from the guest and taking the orders the organization can launch a website which will help in the interaction between the visitors and the organization. Apart from that the use of the digital media for the marketing purpose will be also helpful for organization. The e-commerce website can be developed for the implementation of these requirements regarding the support model of the organization.
The managing of the processes related to the management can be organized and managed through the use of the 7PGM.
G1- The process of the management contains different modules. The minimization of the modules will be helpful for the managing of the whole system.
G2: The communication path between different modules of the management process and the administrative modules is needed to be minimized.
G3: The modification of the event starts at one point and ends at another point.
G4: The modified structure is needed to be done in a structured way.
G5: The OR routing elements are needed to be avoided.
G6: The activity labels are needed to be specific.
G7: Reconstruct a model with less than 50 elements.
G1- The minimization of the teams in the support module.
G2: improved communication plan between the support team and the consumers.
G3: The modification of the event starts at one point and ends at another point.
G4: The modified structure is needed to be done in a structured way.
Enterprise Resource Management
G5: The OR routing elements are needed to be avoided.
G6: The activity labels are needed to be specific.
G7: Reconstruct a model with less than 50 elements.
Cycle time regarding the management process:
- Signing of register- 5 minutes
- Exploring the entire park- 5 minutes
- Providing swipe key- 5 minutes
Total time – (5+5+5) minutes= 15 minutes
Cycle time regarding the cleaning process:
- Cleaning of toilet and shower – 30 minutes ( twice a day),Total- 2 hours a day
- Disposal of wastes- 45 minutes
- Pickup of rubbish- 45 minutes
- Mowing of grass- 10 minutes
- Site cleaning- 5 minutes
Total time- (120 +45+45+10+5) minutes= 125 minutes
Redesign for the management process: The BRP should be flexible enough and the best practices of the BRP will indicate the possibility of the delivery of the expected result. In the current situation, the managing of the whole business and the managing of the visitor’s record is not organized. Along with that the organization is thinking to provide luxury accommodation service with quality food which needs proper planning and the resource management. The proper planning for the development of the project is missing in the case study.
Redesigning for the cleaning process: The cleaning process will help to manage the cleaning of the surroundings along with the laundry. The allocation of the time for the cleaning of different areas are different.
There are scopes for the implementation of the automation in the whole process. However, the automation can be implemented in the support process. The automation of the support can be achieved in the five steps:
Identification of the repetitive tasks: The repetitive tasks are needed to be identified in the process. The processes like sending advertisements to the consumers regarding the camping can be done by the system generated process.
Definition of the business goals: The objective of the process is needed to be identified so that the implementation of the automation can be done accordingly.
Selection of the right workflow: The right workflow which can be implemented through the application of the automation are needed to be identified.
Training: Giving proper training to the users will help the employees to use the automated system in a proper way.
Evaluation of the performance: The evaluation of the automated systems needed to be done so that the further modification and the improvisation can be made.
Conclusion
The discussion is regarding the improvement of the business process of the camping program. It can be said that the proper selection of the automation can improve the business process. Apart form that the application of the different business process definition while the development of the project will help to produce the right outcome.
