How many majors can buyer to consumer applications be utilized in? The influential area of the “B2C”, or buyer to consumer, business models are increasing steadily.
This is due to an influx in usage of online applications as the entirety of the internet comes into a more familiar setting in our culture, through at-home computers as well as mobile phones. Online shopping, in the form of large corporations such as Amazon, NewEgg, Etsy, etc. are seen as much more viable and easier to utilize, especially from home.
“With the increasing popularity of online commerce, businesses in online environments seek to enhance their competitive advantage by meeting customer’s needs on related platforms in online transactions.” (Nilashi, Mehrbakhsh., Ibrahim, Othaman Bin. 16 November, 2013.)
From this information, it appears B2C methods are utilized to increase the usage of said businesses, therefore increasing their revenue and online traffic. This method allows businesses to utilize data collecting services, and make assumptions based on what methods they used to increase this traffic.
B2C methods are growing in popularity as the usage of internet connections are increasingly more popular in global households, and are therefore being utilized for more than originally imagined in the beginning stages, namely in the late 80s and 90s as they were just beginning to be used in these households.
Globalization today and the proliferation of communication channels, coupled with more-demanding customer expectations and technology developments (such as wireless technology), are creating a digital networked economy in which only e-enabled companies are able to thrive.
Here, we introduce a new framework for B2C application development that helps firms implement I successful B2C sites.” (Poon, Pak-Lok. Lau, Amy H.L. February, 2006.) Therefore, businesses are taking advantage of this “never before seen” avenue for revenue.
B2C methods are more than just statistical, as the UI, or “user-interfaces” of the devices used are also important. A business who would be interested in making themselves available to mobile users would be more interested in making their online business easily accessible, to avoid deterring users from browsing the website due to difficulties in terms of operation and navigation.
Since the usage of internet and mobile devices has had a significant impact on the general activities and lifestyle of customers, the ways services are delivered to them and how customers perceive electronic markets are different from those used in the offline setting, in the sense of accessibility, usability and versatility opportunities.” (Prodanova, J., San-Mart?n, S. & Jimenez, N. 2019.)
In conclusion, B2C methods are increasing in popularity, especially in online avenues. This is due to the ability to utilize methods and increase overall revenue and traffic, therefore increasing the net worth of the business, which is in the interest of all businesses. Utilization of these methods are increasing due to the fact that more and more buyers are able to access these businesses from several different methods, and B2C methods are focused on capitalizing on this opportunity to increase revenue.
