Growing up, my parents always got in me involved in activities, organizations, and programs. Because of them, I can say that I have been a Girl Scout for eleven years, a member of the Young Adult Usher Board, Young Adult Choir, and Outreach Ministry at my church I have also contributed at least one hundred hours of community service since I began high school and have been in numerous clubs such as the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, and National Art Honor Society, just to name a few, During my senior year, I was elected President of the Environmental Club and I have helped make my school a better and more eco-friendly institution, Because of my volunteer experience, I can bring to George Mason’s class of 2019, a spirit of community service and encourage people to get involved.
My personality is very outgoing, so I believe that I can get enough of my classmates to join me to help serve the Fairfax community better and show the town what kind of university George Mason really is We can do this by volunteering at local schools, picking up trash at a community park, or conducting a coat drive for needy families.
Impacting those around me has always been a joy of mine, and it would be even better if I could have the class of 2019 standing there with me enjoying it as much as I do I can also bring new and fun ideas to the campus to allow people to get out of their comfort zone and try new things, There could be a food club where we would try new recipes from different places of the world and get others to taste test our creations.
I could try to persuade people that aren’t normally sociable to get out and join a new club Because I am used to working with new people, I am very comfortable with approaching others and talking to them to help them feel important and involved. When it comes to George Mason University’s Class of 2019, I have a lot to offer and I am ready, but the question is, are they ready for me?
