Value of Enterprise Systems
In this report, the value of enterprise system is discussed along with importance of business process analysis. Enterprises system offers an ability to look at the business success by analysing all the factors. It reviews all the supply chain effectiveness by focusing all the resources so that new strategies could be developed. It is just a system that facilitates the improvement of functions by integrating the. It is a system on which an organisation can rely upon for making decisions. The second part covers the importance of business process analysis and how it is useful in the development phase. This report focuses on the role of business process analysis and the benefits an organisation gain after this process. Business process analysis is a vital driver in the development process as it delivers appropriate solution by possibly analysing the business operations.
In the 21st century, it is found that technology is one of the components that manage all the operations in an organisation. It is way through which enterprise can reach to larger audience by the means of social media platform (Hoang, Molla & Poon, 2016). Enterprise system is needed to improve all the business processes and make sure that all the processes are completed efficiently. To be more presided enterprise system are valuable as they are the large scale software packages that are used to track or control all the operations of business. It makes decision making process easy as it makes central command to make business operations automatic. The benefits that an organisation gains through enterprise system are discussed. It is a way through which all the useful information if a business is stored in a usable format (Keyte & Locher, 2016). It stores all the history of the orders taken by the customers, the value of this system is it allows mangers to easily track the information so that conflicts could be resolved. The motive of this is to improve customer satisfaction. Enterprise system is also used for resource planning as its first priority is to value customer’s experience (Sedera, Lokuge, Grover, Sarker & Sarker, 2016). They make all the business operations automatic which help them in monitoring that every employee is offering consistent experience. The enterprise system has gained value in the recent time as it saves the overall time which can be future used to introduce new innovative ideas. The other benefit which is often ignored is ability to scale the IT capability so that business can be handled at it ups and down (Bi, Da Xu & Wang, 2014). For this enterprise system make use of additional platforms or software like cloud, SaaS or any other additional access that excess the capacity.
Importance of Business Process Analysis
The value of enterprise system in the competitive world has grown up so rapidly. It has increased the overall reliability as compared to other small scale solutions. Apart from that, it is seen that in the last years security breaches are increasing which has caused security breach in terms of confidentiality, integrity and availability (Stern, et. al, 2017). Thus, it is important to secure the sensitive data of customers so that customer experience is not degraded. It also offers a flexible business environment by offering real time access to information. It offers the opportunity to user to access the information from anywhere at any time (Appelbaum, Kogan, Vasarhelyi & Yan, 2017). This is one of the powerful features of enterprise system. The enterprise system as ultimately reduces the overall cost that is needed to run a business. The saved budget is used by the company to improve the customer’s experience.
Large enterprises face issue in producing a consistently positive customer experience. Thus, to overcome such issue they use enterprise system so that they can offer the ability to ensure standardization of customer experience. It also helps in streamlining supply chain management by checking that the products are delivered to customers in a reliable way. It also checks that the cost is low as compared to other competitors. The main benefit that is gained by enterprise system is that it ensures regulatory compliance (Rouhani & Lecic, 2018). It monitors all the information about the company operations like properties, assets and inventory management. Thus, enterprise system is mostly used to ensure that all the federal regulations will be taken into consideration without affected any customer service function (Scranton, 2017). Businesses understand that customers are long-term assets and thus by utilizing an enterprise system it will help their assets to remain with them for a longer time.
From the research it was found that, more than three quarter companies have implemented enterprise system in their working process. This have helped the, to achieve half of the value which they were looking from high technology. Accenture is one just company, which has gained success by undertaking enterprise system (Scranton, 2017). Enterprise system is a valuable process as it removes all the duplicate procedures by creating optimum inventories so that overall money can be saved.
These systems take care of all the department of a company like it take into account sales department, finance, human resource, inventory and manufacturing of the business. The enterprise system proves to make all the operations of the company efficient. The major benefit of using enterprise system is focusing on the entire companies need. It helps in saving money and time by recognizing which suppliers have the best track record of on-time delivery and best price so that decisions could be made accordingly.
Role of Business Process Analysis in Systems Development
Business process modelling or business process analysis is becoming a priority for all the mangers. As now a days organisations are relying on the documentation work to make decisions. Business process analysis is a streamlined process that makes all the operations smooth and ensures that it is consistent. It has also made tracking of information easy. Business process analysis is important as it is used to analysis the business from different view point (Bhattacharya, 2016). The motive of business process analysis is to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness. Business process analysis is important as it supports the organisation to achieve implicit knowledge of all the processes. It also helps in analysing individual actions and procedures. It also improves the process communication as it offer a methodology to understand the process and make decisions. Business process analysis is a process that helps in defining goals and objectives of the organisation. It also describes tasks and workflow by identifying common task sets. The purpose of business process analysis is to understand the loopholes and find opportunity to learn from other approaches so that processes can be improved (Chang, 2016). Business process analysis helps in understanding the need and demand of requirements so that processes can be redesigned. It can be applied at any time to access the workflow of an organisation. It focuses on improving the output, efficiency, effectiveness, economy or profit of the organisation (Hammer, 2015). The main objective of business analysis helps in finding errors in the system that helps in improving. Business analysis allows owners to make advancement so that future adjustments can be done. Business analysis is undertaken so that businesses reach higher profit. It helps companies to perform better (van der Aalst, 2015). They can change the management of an organisation by finding the errors and bringing up new profitable alternatives. It offers the capability of analysing all the business processes and data so that more profit could be future.
Business process analysis is a part in system development methodology that helps in defining goals and objectives. It helps in defining the rules that describe the task and workflow that will be taken by the company. At time of development business analysis is important as it decreases the cost. It helps in making decisions. Business analysis offers cost effective solution for the problem so that development can be done in a proper manner. It helps in developing the business process by understanding the requirements. Business analysis is a key driver in the development process as delivering the appropriate solution is possible by analysing the business operations properly (Fleisher & Bensoussan, 2015) . Business analysis is a part of development cycle as in this all the problem requirements are listed by finding the solution of the design. Business analysis in the development phase, look at the performance competencies by underlying all the characteristics. Business analysis is used for planning and monitoring all the processes by clarifying the requirements and information. Business analysis in development phase helps in facilitating the business needs so analysing the requirement and planning in an organised manner. In the development phase, business analysis is a step that discoveries all the weaknesses and issue of an organisation so that it can function properly (Oyemomi, Liu, Neaga & Alkhuraiji, 2016). In the development phase it looks that budgets are not over and look at all the poor system designs so that errors could be reduced. In the analysis process all the other competitors are identified and their strategies and business values are identified so that plans could be made accordingly. In the development phase, business process analysis is used to identify issues like regular delays or increased customer complaints. Thus, in the development process are introduced to optimize the overall solution. In the development phase, business process analysis replaces all the process with a new version.
It is a very important step in the development phase as it identifies all the processes by identifying the stakeholders and checking the working of each process. It also collects the information by understanding the issues that are faced and analysing the basic objective that need to be accomplished (Vom Brocke, Schmiedel, Recker, Trkman, Mertens & Viaene, 2014). Once the requirements are analysed it define the process in the form of flowcharts and other diagrams by measuring its effectiveness. Once the plans are designed and analyses it finally develop a new plan by making all the changes. The changes are made so that issues and loopholes could be resolved (Flow, 2017).
Conclusion
It can be concluded from this report that enterprise system has proved to be very valuable as it is needed to improve all the business processes and assures that all the processes are completed efficiently. On the other hand, it was also found that business process analysis is a best way of finding out the obstacles and inefficiencies that are faced by an organisation. Business process analysis supports the organisation so that they can take better steps so that overall performance can be improved.
