The objective of the company is to bring technological innovations through personal into the lives of consumers like students, educators, or any other professionals. The three core values of the company are- prioritizing teamwork, bringing positive change in society to products and setting firm goals, and working hard to achieve them. The organization maintains its standards for ethical conduct, environmental and human rights.
The company strategies and goals are communicated through various mediums like memos, message chains, emails, and online/offline meetings. One-on-one engagement is also used to communicate the mission. Brief speech, motivation messages, feedbacks are some of the ways how these messages are communicated.
The Information and Security team is responsible for analyzing, managing, and mitigating the technology-related security risks in the systems utilized in the organization. It ensures the safety of the organization’s confidential data and helps in smooth operations.
The chief information security officer in the team is the senior-level executive that leads and manages the team and their performance. They are also responsible implement strategies developed to ensure the security of the organization’s system. Cyber security engineer in the team responds to system or network security breaches
A security breach happened in a company when spyware entered the system and got access to internal messages, emails, and even system-connected cameras. The team coordinates to work together and remove the spyware.
The chief information security officer (CISO) is responsible for implementing the policies and plans created to deal with such threats. Cyber security engineers design security solutions to handle these attacks and monitor them. Quick disaster recovery policies need to be made and implemented with the help of the team to reduce damage.

The team is accountable for preventing network and security attacks by designing security solutions, continuous tracking, monitoring, and risk management. In the case of an IT system security breach like in the mentioned incident, the team works together to undo or reduce the data loss.
What are your objectives for this team?
The objectives of this team should be to ensure confidentiality, availability, and work with integrity. The teamwork together while maintaining strong moral principles to ensure the confidentiality of the company’s sensitive data. Since the team manages the security aspect, availability is important for disaster recovery in an emergency situation.
What skills and knowledge does the team have?
The team possesses useful risk analysis, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills to monitor and detect any potential threat from unusual activities. The team must have knowledge of various operating systems like Kali Linux.
What resources does the team have and need? (e.g. professional development, hardware, software, etc.)
The team is responsible for network security as well and that requires tools like a firewall, endpoint security management software, and traffic analysis tools. For professional development, security training programs or training for the above-mentioned tools can be organized.
What is the individual accountable for?
The Chief information security officer (CISO) is accountable for the functioning of the Information and System security team along with the procedures and measures implemented by them. They also act as a security advisor for the company by auditing and analyzing the security reports.

Communication is one of the objectives set for CISO. To handle the team and provide advisory feedback it is important to communicate the policies and decisions clearly as well as take feedback from the team. The individual can also play a major role in the professional development of teammates by conducting training activities and acting as their mentor. Apart from the mentorship, CISCO can guide and motivate the team during a stressful situation like a security breach incidence.
What skills and knowledge does this individual have?
The individual has the knowledge of core networking and security technologies and software like adaptive security appliance software. Additionally, they have expertise in various routing protocols, virtual networking, and more. Their skills include strategic management, policy development, Incident management, and supervisory skills.

A CISO requires a security auditing tool to generate reports and further provide security advice and solution for the company depending on the data and potential threat.

A cyber security engineer must pay attention to finding threats and work towards prevention. They need to be able to communicate the findings and implementation plan.

The individual has problem-solving and technical skills. In addition, the team must know about networking, ethical hacking, and various testing methods.

For stronger security resources like encryption tools, packet sniffers, or monitoring tools. They should have knowledge of programming languages like C, Python, and javascript.

The organization can implement an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). This policy will regulate and limit the use of the company’s computer equipment. This will reduce the risk of similar incidents. The incident response policy can help in dealing with the mentioned incident. The policy defines the team’s response and actions to eradicate the spyware and work towards system recovery.
How can you create and maintain a positive work environment at your chosen organization?
To maintain a positive work environment, communication and collaboration in the team are essential. Open, respectful, and participatory exchange should be encouraged. Along with it, opportunities for learning and professional development should be available. Individual’s or teams’ good work should be appreciated. This will keep the team motivated and create a productive work environment.
How can you encourage your team and individuals to develop innovative approaches to work tasks?
Team and individual creativity can be encouraged through rewards, appreciation, or by incentivizing revenue-generating innovations. This will also establish healthy competition among the members of the team that can be highly motivating. Apart from that, new ideas should be welcomed by making their input a part of the decision-making process.

Policy for harassment and discrimination: A workplace with quality leadership is free from harassment or any discriminatory behavior, hence this policy is necessary (Balducci et al., 2021). The policies keep the workplace culture in check by restricting activities like bullying, misbehavior, or bigotry. Implementation of these procedures ensures all employees are treated fairly and a safe environment is maintained for all. |

It could be through publicly available information about the organization, nonsensitive data collected through individuals from the organization, and private data collected through obtained through interviews or questionnaires. Implementation Methods define how a change in system, policy, and procedures are can be executed in an organization. It depends on various factors like leadership in the organization, communication, and team response. |
