Employability and Communication
In this study, I will focus on the reflection regarding my personal development attributes such as management skills, IT skills and teamwork skills. From my personal standpoint, I have come to understand that my statement is the complementary task that I can accompany for establishing the types of assessments. I will be discussing the ways through which I became able to develop my skills over a certain time while doing my consultancy project regarding Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic. In addition to the above, I will explain the result of my Belbin report from my viewpoint.
My employability
In terms of my employability I would like to state that through my previous experience I have identified the approach of communication as my strong area of employability. On that note I underpinned to strengthen my skills for doing the consultancy project in a successful manner.
Face to face meetings:
From attending the face to face meetings, I have come to understand that the most of the client may be acted as informal due to which throughout the situation, difficulties get arised. Herein as per my skill, I felt that I need to listen more active manner rather than being talkative. Thus, I aimed for hosting the meetings instead of attending it.
Getting lack of response from the client’s end:
At the time of doing my consultancy project, I experienced that the most of the clients are not aware of become responsive in a broad manner. In order to resolve the issue, I set a timescale from my personal standpoint, and addressed the issue as much as possible. For example, I considered the cursory measurement following which I overcome the issue. As experienced by me such plan found certainly acts as relevant for the business during willing to encountering such situation often.
My leadership attribute skills
During doing my consultancy project, I had come to understand that leadership skills play most significant role in the good and the unforeseen situation. In my pervious working experience, I identified that through my employment I need to lead the project along with strengthening the team performance towards the betterment.
I have come to understand that during doing a project, I faced that the key skills through which I can be separated from the rest of my team members is my decision making skill. In order to get selected in this role, I gone through the quick situational management as well as the assertiveness for making the appropriate decisions in this regard. Here the initial example that I would like to state is considering the survey data in order to change my research strategy. However, I felt that the idea was better initially but later it showed the inefficiency of the another related area.
Considering the graph, I would like to state that the concerned graph shows my team roles as per my preferences. From my previous experience, I have understood that I need to consider the team roles in order to enhance my behaviours as per the personal viewpoint. Here, I can ask other individuals for analysing their opinions for the completion of my observer assessments. I feel that the graph has helped me to provide feedback regarding my team roles behaviours that have been observed within me. I found it significant as the team roles help to contribute to the process of differentiation regarding my viewpoint and the others’ viewpoints for working together. Also, I feel that following this; I can perceive myself in a great manner in the forthcoming days.
Active Listening
Went through the theory of Belbin’s Team Roles, I have understood that the approach of this theory can be considered as an efficient way for assessing the relative weakness and strengths of a team. Hereby utilising the concerned approach, I can understand the appropriate way following which I can improve my future performance.
As per my Belbin Team role report, I have understood that the team role can be depicted as a behavioural pattern through which an individual’s characteristics I can facilitate my team’s progress. Also, I experienced that such enabled the benefits of my team members and me enhancing self-knowledge by adjusting the behaviour in an appropriate manner. As the graph shows, as per my preferences of the team roles, I need always to remember that the approach of this theory I can always utilise as a tool for describing my preferred team roles. For indicating an ideal operation within a team environment, I can strengthen a team role for pointing out the weakness.
Conversely, considering the above graph, I would like to state that I have come to understand that the Belbin team roles contain both weak and strong areas associated with my preferred team roles. Throughout my personal understating, I have come to understand that my personal development attributes are IT skills, management skills, and teamwork skills.
In relation to the development, therefore, I would like to state that my career points out towards focusing on interpersonal relations. Thus, whenever I will be undertaking a job, it needs to be offered with the relevant scope of negotiation. Also, in order to develop my IT skills, I should avoid work that can appear as harmful to me. One thing that I would like to mention here is that throughout my job, I can face some risks associated with personal strain. As such, while my job is structured and specific, I will be liking to thrive within a busy office as well as a similar environment within which I can conduct a broad amount of liaison works.
I have come to understand that in order to develop my management skills, I need to maintain a high standard of affinity and accuracy at the same time. Here, I would like to state that for enhancing my performance, I should try taking the tasks such as proofreading, checking the final figures etc. I feel that such kinds of tasks will help me to strengthen and sharpen my attention in a detailed manner. In order to show me as being capable of picking up the errors, the unforeseen situation of embarrassment can be caused in this regard. As such, if I can make myself as more valuable, I can make my team valuable as well. In addition to offsets, I need to be accountable for managing the roles that are least suitable for me. Here, I feel that I should not consider the negative characteristics of the practical organisers through whom I can fail to attend the things by optimising the effectiveness. Hence, I need to work in harmony with my team members who consist of such complementary qualities for improving their own skills of performance.
Effective Decision Making
On the other hand, I have come to understand that for my teamwork skills, I need to deal with a wide range of individuals effectively. For instance, I should be preferred the individuals who opt for indicating the sort of managers for performing best. From my experience, I have realised that the manager, who has the lack of ability for inclination towards communication, can offer me an appropriate opportunity for displaying my natural accomplishments. Taking into account this fact, I need to focus on the grounded and practical individuals having well-established skills. In a nutshell, I need to be at my best for building a versatile team along with providing value. I personally feel that position and rank in the hierarchy can be considered as less significant as the individuals I feel that needs to treat with respect as well as consideration over the entire circumstances.
How I developed my skills over time by doing my consultancy project on the Newcastle sports injury clinic.

Based on the identified areas mentioned in the table, I would like to mention that identifying my strengths and weakness has helped me understand my personal contribution. Here, I need to provide a response towards my self-perception in order to enable my work in a more effective manner. I feel it is worth to mention that while doing my consultancy project for Newcastle sports injury clinic, I focused on my weak areas for playing teamwork in a better manner. I felt that I needed to be sensitive towards the circumstances of the individual team members irrespective of my personal conflicts and difficulties. Herein, I had realised that I should be ready for offering supports to my team members whenever required. On the other hand, I felt that I need to focus on the enhancing my employability and leadership at the same time. As such, I felt that I need to develop the approach of collaboration along with strengthening my IT skills. I felt that by building network and connections following the approach of leadership will help me to develop good relationships with my subordinates. Therefore, I focused on earning trust and respect at the workplace through employability.
Through doing this consultancy project, I learned that in order to agreement with any unexpected circumstance, I needed to go to my line supervisors first. On that point, I believe that addressing my preferences for working in a good setting with the line managers will offer insight into my preferred working environment. As a consequence, I am able to flourish in both good and unfavourable settings. I would like to point out that my personal experience in working at the Newcastle Sports Injury Clinic may serve as a great tool for recruiters or managers looking to learn more about people in terms of their preferred working environment and working style. On the other hand, the concerned project helped me to understand that my employability skills are talents and traits that make me an attractive leader in the near future. As such, the consultancy project make me to organise my skills in order to enhance the approach of employability and my career at the same time. For example, I started participating the long termed initiatives planning, strategic sessions of planning, event management for enhancing my skills in this regard. In addition to offsets, the consultancy project helped me to learn my team work skills through which I can perform with my colleagues in a great manner. I have come to understand that by enhancing my team work skills I can participate in several volunteer groups as well as the group projects through which I can be more focused on building my team work.
From the Belbin report, I have understood that the concerned report revolves around my top team roles as well as my suggested style of working that is appropriate for my future works.
I need to focus on my Self Perception Inventory (SPI) which I can be considered as a questionnaire for individual completion. In order to ascertain my team roles, therefore the questionnaire needs to consist of a total of eight sections and each section need to contain ten items. I should ask the individual for allocating ten marks for each section as per their statement as well as reflect on their personal style of working. Also, I have understood that I need to focus on developing my current skillset regarding the information technology. I felt that having the strong IT skills will help me to get succeed in life. Through my employability, I especially focused on my weak areas to be developed. Here, I familiarised myself with an understanding of the advancement of the information technology in the forthcoming days.
Conclusion
I would like to conclude that in this research, I have concentrated on the portrayal of my personal growth traits, such as management abilities, IT abilities, and teamwork abilities. From a personal position, I have come to realise that my statement is a supplement to the process of developing the sorts of evaluations that I can assist with.
