Identification of the personal skills that were demonstrated while working in the group
The main purpose of this reflection report is to provide detailed description of all the personal skills that I have demonstrated while working as a group member to perform the group task as a part of my University assignment. Detailed description of all the personal skills that are developed and also reflection of the knowledge that is gained in the overall process is also mentioned along with providing recommendations for future improvement that can help in better group work.
As mentioned by Fidalgo-Blanco et al. (2015), it is important for every team members within a group to have certain skills in order to fulfill their individual purpose within the team and also be able to have a positive significant contribution for the challenges that needs to be overcome within the group. It is also important for the skills to focus upon the overall objective of the teamwork and also help in the process of organizing individual tasks.
One of the main important skills that I have been able to display in my group what is the efficiency of time management that is necessary as a part of the team work. According to McNaughton (2015), time management skills is one of the major important areas that can help the team to focus upon primary goals and thereby help to priorities each individual work according to its importance. With effective use of time, it is possible to overcome every difficult situation within the group work and also to deal with the challenge that are encountered by individual group members. It can be said in the context that as I am able to timely initiate my work, it was possible for me effectively priorities all the task that are essential for the group assignment according to their importance.
With the help of organization skills, it was possible for me to properly decide upon the goal of individual task and also organize them according to their importance within the overall teamwork. The ability to effectively plan the entire process of teamwork is one of the important parts necessary for overall task assignment. Creating of short term goals within the total teamwork is one of the main essential parts of organization skills that have helped me to fulfill the requirement of my University assignment and thereby I am able to complete my task within the given deadline.
One of the main important criteria of the teamwork is the ability among the members to communicate properly in order to have better level of understanding and unity among themselves. With the help of the skills, it was possible for me to discuss all the key ideas and knowledge that I have contributed within the team work. It can be said in the context that effective communication skills is one of the key element that distinguish between average and effective teamwork performance of individual. It is only with the help of effective communication skills that members of the team can exchange ideas that can ultimately help to improve individual performance and thereby successfully able to fulfill the primary objective of the group work. It is also with the help of our communication that it is possible for the team members to discuss upon the challenges and issues encountered at personal levels.
Identification of the personal role within group and group interaction and communication issues
Hence, it can be said that with proper communication and time management skills along with the ability to organize and prioritize work within the team work, it is possible for the team members to successfully fulfill the overall objective and purpose of the assigned tasks.
One of the effective characteristics of every efficient team is the ability of every personal group members to have the ability to understand their importance within the team and also have the ability to interact and share ideas with all other group members (Chuang et al. 2016). It is important in this context that every team members get motivated by contributed significantly in fulfilling the overall objective and also understands the purpose of the objective of the overall teamwork. It is only with the help of proper interaction that it is possible for the team members to deal with the issues of communication and also all other challenges that are encountered within the team work. It is also important to note that most of the team issues that are faced by individual members can be result with the help of effective communication.
Few of the major communication issues that I have encountered while dealing the group work is due to the fact that all the members of the group have different opinion about completion of the task and do not always agree with each other about the process that needs to be followed to fulfill the objective. Lack of proper communication among the team members can also compromise upon the unity of the team and thereby individual members can face challenge due to the fact that they are not able to synchronize with the work. As everything is made up of diverse group of, people having their own individual opinion about completion of the task, it is important for them share all their ideas in order to deal with this communication barriers. Without proper communication, it is also not possible to develop the sense of mutual respect among the team members that can ultimately compromise upon the level of Unity. Communication issues can also raise the misconception among the team members about the issues that are being encountered within the team.
From the overall team what I have been able to gain significant knowledge about the importance of group work and also the key skills that are needed in order to properly understand the range of events that is connected with in the group work. I have been able to gain significant idea about the importance of teamwork in fulfilling the overall purpose of the organization with the help of proper management skills that is an important essential requirement of all type of teamwork. With the help of the teamwork, it is possible to deal with all levels of challenge that has ultimately helped me to understand the importance of proper interaction and Unity within the team members. Frequent team meetings that was an important part of our team work has helped me to develop the communication skills and also gain the knowledge about ideas and skills that has been incorporated by other team members. I also have been able to get knowledge about different type of opinion provided by other team members that has also held me to develop my skills of working as a team member.
Reflection on the knowledge gained
I have also able to gain the knowledge about the ways that can be incorporated within the team that can ultimately help to improve communication skills and also interaction between the team members. This is ultimately one of the important steps to resolve all the issues and challenges that are encountered at individual level. It is also the duty of every individual team members to motivate other workers in order to make them accustomed with the protocols of the group and thereby help their activity to synchronies with other team members.
The outcome of the teamwork has been successful in spite of few of the minor barriers and challenges that we encountered during the entire process. We also have to face issues, in the middle of the team work due to the fact that not all the members were able to communicate with each other and also agree with a common viewpoint. Nevertheless, with interactive sessions and team meetings, we were unable to reach a position of mutual agreement, where all the members of the team has followed fixed path. In spite of few of the minor delays in the middle of the task, the overall team objective was completed much before the given deadline that was provided to us.
From the past experience that I have gained in the teamwork, I strongly believe that it is only with the help of proper communication and interactive sessions that it is possible to resolve all the key issues encountered by the individual team members. It is also important for every team members to respect the decision and opinion that are provided by all other team members in order to improve the level of Unity among each other and thereby able to synchronies their activity. Another important change that needs to be implemented is that every team members should report to the team leaders more frequently about the current status they are doing in the overall work.

The concluding note it can be said that reflection report have properly highlighted up on all the key issues that are encountered by team members. It has also the key skills that are needed by every individual team members in order to deal with all the challenges and barriers that exist within the team work.
