Global and Local Megatrends
Discuss about the Professional Development and Ethics.
The globe has seen in its recorded history a trend of change in every field and develops a common minimum program for all. The trends of change in the Globe had been both regarding technology and in the context of social diversity where Globe is a broad street with various types of people are addressing and luring one with their offerings. The trend which is visible in today’s globe is brought forth due to these two huge issues driving the change. The big picture is that the globe is a community of diverse people who have migrated from various places to settle in a different location altogether. The technology competence has given the businesses the interest to invest into it to develop a product better than the competitors at a very competitive price. The internet has brought the consumer and business more close than ever before. The regular enhancement of economic activities has a great amount of effect which of course is at times made to suffer from artificial turbulence for political reasons (Theecologist.org, 2016).
The global trends show that there are a plenty number of brands producing the same product and claiming them to be the best at a competitive price. The industry chosen would be E-retails which is a growing business of the day, thanks to the vast network of internet connectivity to a wide group of people. The industry that I wish to venture would have a unique product which I like because I am into the use of the product and understand the importance of it in various parts for the people like me with a keen interest in experiments. The Indian percussion and Drums have a very limited market. The people who love music wish to taste every tone possible are the target market for me. The style of playing and the tone of drums from the Indian Subcontinent is an immense vault of quality product expression that has encouraged many fusion artists from west to try such tone and beats to their compositions (Uwcc.wisc.edu, 2016).
The Drums are made by the traditional handicraftsmen who are engaged in making such items, and they are plenty in number residing in every corner of the subcontinent. The competition of the product in the international market is negligible because the people who are selling via Amazon like retail websites are not the traditional manufacturer or producer. They don’t have a plenty of choices as well to showcase. Here the plan comes into play where the researcher wishes to build a cooperative between the manufacturers via the Internet and build a unit separately where all have equal share and rights to see the product description. It also demands to be aware of the trends and thus manage their manufacturing or change of style of presentation as per their will (Vukanovic, 2011).
Environmental Analysis, Blue Sky Thinking, and Envisioning the Future
Based out of any location the business can be monitored and managed where every stakeholder would have a knowledge of what is happing within the cooperative. Therefore, it can be said that a business is going global from being a domestic product to achieve its place in international music styles as being experimented. The products have its special tone and way of playing which the business is planning to put on YouTube soon so that the buyers internationally having an interest in Music and percussions to get an idea and try their stuff. The future seems to be great since the people who are manufacturing gets the direct contact with the users and getting their dues. I, however, have a part in the business where the cooperative recognizes me as the Internet coordinator for which they would pay me 7% of each item sold via the registered e-retails shops, both internationally or in the domestic market (Thomas & Thomas, 2012).
The market for the traditional folk instruments is in the tax-free product category, and each part of the land has its unique product. My association with the cooperatives for its operational reasons when the people are busy making their products with their best efforts, I provide the support. I would take care of the marketing and sales part; bring in new YouTube videos of festivals where our member’s instruments had been used. The Videos for the foreign client would include a contest where they may send their video playing with one of our products and get the one free product as the winner in such competition (Theguardian.com, 2012).
I am charging 7% straight for the product sold by each of the cooperative members who placed their price on which they have allowed me in writing to be the sole distributor of their product. Thus I am getting my share of the time wasted, or energy and sweat spent on such a project get its return. Thus with an increment of sales and with better product rating the objective of developing our cooperative would be possible. The cooperative would be connected with a Skype ID where each would join the conversation about any business decision which needs to be taken. The stakeholders or the producers are key for the business, so their positions on issues are an important part of decision making. Hence all are aware of the business stance and position (Malysheva, 2014). The consumer feedback is a big issue which would be conveyed and discussed to see if we can do better. The steps of the formation to the execution of sales and maintaining the cooperative file and the legal papers have been given to me by the members as their external consultant. The future would be to gather the same kind of people together who are into handicraft of hand-woven pieces which are in high demand in the foreign markets. However, the percussion business internationalization is the primary target which has been achieved where I had to spend a bit of time and money to get the cooperative made and the people in the manufacturing understood the need for internet, so they had one where I had no investments (Taylor & Mujtaba, 2011).
Location-Based Business Accumulations and Professionalism
The guide to this entire process was the internet which I had enough time for to surf for a couple of hours each day till the idea stuck me. Using the social media, I reached the manufacturers where there were language barriers, but the people in my network who introduced me to them did the job of translation. I did book a web page for ourselves which I kept aside to show what I meant with my words. The people were convinced very easily since it cost them anything till there is a sale happening and it would be only on their benefits. Hence the process got the momentum where we started with eight people and had grown 14 in numbers. However, care has been taken that only one vendor is allowed to showcase their best creations which do not clash with other’s creation making a competitive tension within the group. The strengths have grown, weaknesses have been reduced. This has also given us the possibility to seek a larger market however the threat of the changing dimension of the market is one which may not give the top market change accordingly but make the changes abrupt.
The business idea was developed keeping a mind to start a business which has a market but not internationally because of the ignorance of the producers in various parts of the subcontinent. The biggest boost had been the kind of experiment that is happening in the music business where tone and beats of every nature are finding its way to the people who slowly get acquainted with these products. The minimal investment I had to make was in making the cooperative via a lawyer and making the web page which would be launched later once the business has started. The mutual benefit of the producers and the consumers who wish to taste new things are getting connected via electronic media which is the trend of the day and has changed the way business is done.
The larger motive is to make people aware of a style of drum use in music or as a single instrument which has its unique beats and tone. Attracting new consumers as well as creating a craze for the product would be a vital part where the use of social media would play a big role. There are many in the nations all across who have no knowledge of Indian styles of drums and use of each and the one which is of folk origin and one which is of Indian Classical origin. The goals would thus be to expedite the new feature as a craze in the market outside the subcontinent and make it a global phenomenon. People of all ages have accepted music and have found a piece of themselves in other styles which are a great hope for the way ahead (Omafra.gov.on.ca, 2016).
Once the job content and its purpose are clear to the employees and them, know exactly what to do when as and when needed. This gives the business the needed impetus to grow and establish itself in among the people of the market they are working in more easily and obediently.
Nevertheless, the more the technology have enhanced, the more clarity in doing business has emerged from it which have given the competence and skill a good chance to show their worth in the foray. Thus the mega trends are created with internet media hypes which make the product desirable and make new people get acquainted with it in the process. The industries are going global, and the local industries too with their skills have built up a very competitive market.
