Characteristics of Projects
1.The five characteristics which helps differentiate projects from other functions carried out in the daily operations of the organization are described below:
- A project is having definite life span of activities
- Every activity had to be completed within the fixed time and associated cost
- Division of roles and responsibilities helps the stakeholder to complete their specified task within approved cost and time allocated
- The proactive identification of the risks helps in completing the smooth flow of business operations and helps in successful completion of the tournament
- The quality of the expected outcome can be checked which helps in analysing the changes required in the project for finishing the project as expected (Hentschel, Muehlheusser, and Sliwka, 2015).
2.The implementation of the project is important to the strategic planning and the project manager because the strategic plan focuses on the arrangement of tournament activities, analysis of the resources required for completing the project, and the systematic synchronization of activities for the implementation of tournament arranged in New England. The project manager plays a key role in scheduling of activities and division of role among the participating parties. He is responsible for completing the project within the scheduled time and approved cost for the tournament. The effective utilization of the required resources and equipment can be done by managing coordination between the project manager and strategic planning. It helps in completing the arrangement of tournament for Manchester united soccer club successfully without any distraction and chaos.
3.The technical and the sociocultural dimensions of the project manager are two sides of the same coin because the success of the project depends on the skills and experience of the project manager and the good project manager is the one who is well versed in technical skills as well as sociocultural skills. The complexities of the employees regarding technical and cultural issues should be effectively resolved by the project manager for the successful completion of the tournament without having any distraction among the working employees.
