The project management is a collaborative approach that enhances the planning and execution of a plan which requires support from the team members. Now, it is recommended to engineering organization to develop a pool of talented people who have skills and knowledge of managing operations with standards. In addition to this, to encourage and establish a business in overseas locations, the development of a diverse team for managing operations will be beneficial (Bligaard et al., 2016). The internationalization approach requires the development of a diverse workforce that could understand the values, belief and communicate the information as per the needs of customers. The approach of the company’s representative has a significant impact on the decision making of the client. Therefore, management of Pritchard Francis needs to focus on the development of interpersonal skills of staff.
Motivate the staff:
The motivation is essential for managing work and enhances the performance of team members to manage the project. The successful project management is managed by a good team that keeps faith in management and delivers the best outcome. Now, it is recommended to the management of the engineering company to understand the needs and objectives of the team members and offer support accordingly (Takey, & de Carvalho, 2015). The engagement of staff members minimizes the errors and helps in the development of sustainable project management plan. To motivate the team members, the organization could offer financial and non-financial rewards. This will also help to develop a competitive environment which is required for the achievement of goals and encouraging the quality in project management.
Feedback analysis:
For evaluating and maintaining the sustainability and approach of establishing the business in the global market, it is recommended to the engineering organization to collect and analyze the feedback from customer, suppliers, employees and other stakeholders. The regular analysis of feedback will help to understand the areas of lacking and potential issues that could affect the work. Moreover, it is also recommended to implement the 360-degree feedback collection approach that will help to manage the specific details about an individual and take the actions (Lines, et al., 2015). According to this method, the management of Pritchard will able to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the performance of staff and offer the support to manage the behavior and approach according to the culture of the company.
The project management is a broad approach that requires a good understanding and knowledge of project management tools and applications. Following are major challenges that we have faced during the project:
- Survey analysis: To complete the report, the review of the organization against the principles of management was essential. We have met a challenge during collecting and analyzing the information about the company’s culture and management functions to assign a rating to complete the survey (Pedreira et al., 2015). This approach has consumed a lot of time and cost to collect the response of survey members.
- Authentication: The authentication of data and information that used in a report about the company and its approaches for engineering operation was essential to increase the reliability and validity. We have faced issues for identifying the authentic information and analysis of data (Clear et al., 2015). However, we have managed activities by using experience and taking help of online sources to complete the report.
- Standards: The project team was also lacking in understanding of standards that used for managing project and best practices of the engineering project. The lack of information has affected the work and analysis of quality functions to meet the specific objectives.
By conducting the survey and group report for engineering organization, we have learned about management principles that will be beneficial for future planning and organizational management activities. The knowledge about management principles is essential for us to understand the approach of the company and maintain the standards in handling the organization. Moreover, the team has learned about cross-culture elements and their impact on the management approach of a company. We will consider these elements for developing an organization or working for an organization. Apart from that, the major learning that we had from the project was the implementation of sustainability and internationalization models to encourage the effectiveness of engineering company and the achievement of goals. The understanding about Uppsala model and Green policies for internalization and sustainability will support us to manage the project more professional manners.
Conclusion
From the above study, it has carried out that project management and cross-cultural are two major elements of the organizational approach to achieve business goals. The report has provided details information about a survey for Pritchard Francis to analyze its management approach for management. According to survey analysis, the organization is good at alignment, leadership, integration and maintaining the learning for effective management of business operations. The report has described cross-culture elements and impact of sustainability and internationalization on the management approach to achieve the business objectives. Moreover, the report has discussed the best practices of engineering industry that can be used b Pritchard for further improvement. The report has also offered recommendations for managing the issues of engineering organization for successful project management.
