Why reliable information on Challenges is important for Project Managers
The project manager needs to have a reliable information about the challenges so as to lead, organize, control and supervise the entire project without any kind of errors. Reliable information about the major challenges would help the project manager in establishing the goals and objectives along with organizing of all the activities in order to achieve the goals. This information would also be helpful in the management of the budget as well as time. The information about the challenges would ensure the fact that the managers are aware of the various reasons for the occurrence of this challenges so as to avoid them.
The Project Managers in this project needs to plan and organize the project so as to handle all the processes involved in a project efficiently and also for the purpose of overcoming the various challenges. Planning is also needed so as to distribute the work amongst the team members according to their qualification and ability so as to avoid any type of conflict. Proper planning is also needed in the conceptual and in the stage where design is to be made as any kind of errors in the planning might lead to various kind of problems in the successive stages. Lastly organization of the team and proper planning is considered to be one of the most important factor responsible for the success of the project.
Project Managers and the project team needs to know about the structure and the way how it is going to be constructed because the site needs to be cleared for the cleared in order to construct the shed. Besides this, after knowing about the structure and the way how it is going to be constructed would be helping them in estimating the resources that are need and the time required to complete the construction, along with estimation of the cost required to build the entire structure. Besides this the structure of the shed would also help in choosing of the plan required to successfully construct the shed. This would also help in the determination of the problems that are going to occur due the structure linking parking issues, drainage issues and many more. Determination of the number of labors needed in order to construct the structure would also be determined.
The major reason lying behind the preparation of the draft is that it would be providing an overview of the entire project along with the major risks that are going to occur during the project. Besides this the draft would also be including the possible ways by which the risks can be eliminated and deliver the project in a successful way. The risks might be including the delay, costs, overruns, fluctuations and many more. Besides this there exits constant inspection of the various activities that are involved in the scope. The scope of the project is not measurable and just consisted of an estimated due date. Whereas the deliverables of this project are measurable and is specific and is completed within the due date. The autocratic management style might be responsible for employee team dissatisfaction which would be responsible for decrease in the group input.
This is a large scale project and needs to be managed in a proper way so it is very essential to consider the 10 PMBOK aspects along with the other 4 aspects. According the PMBOK aspects the WBS or the Work Breakdown Structure would be very helpful in determination of the scope of the project along with managing it. The risk mapping process would help in determination of the risk along with analyzing the severity so as to eliminate the risks. Toolbox meetings are to be held so as to discuss and provide the progress report of the project with everyone involved in the project. The PMBOK aspects also helps in determination of the requirements along with helping in the creation of a task sheet. This aspects are also responsible for determination of the quality of the project and also helps in the management of cost as well.
Communication would be used by the project manager in order to communicate with the stakeholders in direct as well as in indirect way. This is to be done so as to make sure of the fact that the project is running in a smooth way. Communication would be used so as to keep the clients updated about the progress of the project along with reporting the considerable losses which falls under permissible limits. This would be helping the project managers in requesting an extra timeline extension or to have a revised budget in order to process with the project accordingly. Communication would be acting as an important factor in elimination of any kind of interventions in the work.
Implementation of Project management software on small-scale construction project plays a very vital role in achieving success. The tools helps a lot in proper scheduling of the tasks along with estimating of various resources. This project management tool helps in the management of the cost as well along with helping in the management of working hours. Utilization of the risk register tool would be helpful in the determination of the all the risks that might arise during the entire life of the project. Besides this the other management tools also helps in ensuring the safety of the staffs along with measuring the performance of each and every individual associated with the project. Better communication would also be provided amongst each and everyone associated with the project so as to track each and activity of the project.
