Project Requirements
The main purpose of this project is to develop a well -researched project planning document. An appropriate project management will be chosen to establish the project. To claim this objective, a quality environment is required. The objective of the project, start and end date and duration will be outlined in detail. The project requirements both functional and non-functional requirements will be analyzed and gathered.
The project team members and resources will be investigated to complete the project on time. An efficient project plan will be developed based on the requirement. The project scope will be determined to get the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). The project time duration will be estimated and the resources will be allocated according to the need. The Gantt chart and Network diagram of the Project plan will be drawn using the appropriate tool (MS Project). The actual cost and budgeted cost of the project will be estimated. The quality of the developed project will be analyzed. The stack holders are essential for developing projects so analysis on stack holders will be done. The communication plan and the risk management plan will be discussed. Then finally the deployment of the project plan will be discussed.
Project Background
Universal Systems limited is a small software service provider. The organization got very limited network infrastructure. Since the customer base of the company is ever increasing the IT infrastructure needs to be re-designed and improved.
- Existing network design needs to be investigated with the help of a suitable network design diagram.
- Suitable logical network design needs to be done based on the major future requirements in the IT Infrastructure.
- Network Devices needs to be identified.
- The future network should have centralized user authentication, automatic IP address management, local web server, local file and print server (Belloc, 1967).
In this project, an effective project planning needs to be developed. Microsoft project software used for the network project development plan. The problem is to be identified and the feasible solutions will be found. Among them the optimal solution is chosen. Requirements analysis is the main part of the phase 2. It is responsible for choosing the correct requirement for the project development. This management process reduces the cost and time of the entire project efficiently. The quality of the project plan is based on the cost and time. Resources of the project plan help to improve the quality of this project. Critical path of the project plan is design.
Gantt chart and Network diagram is back bone of the project plan. Work Breakdown structure is key of this project. WBS is manage the team work.WBS chart defines the each level of this project. In this Project, work Breakdown Structure contains the following. WBS is drawn in as an image then the same is done in Microsoft Word software. Both are attached.is the critical path of the work breakdown structure. It is a 3 level hierarchical structure of the WBS. It provides the foundation of all project management work, planning, cost and estimation of the project, resource a location and scheduling of the project. WBS define the total scope of the work and relationships between the work, organization and cost. Success of the project is depends upon the efficiency of a work breakdown structure.

Cost is the main task of project managing. It is the task is maintaining project expenses as well as maintain potential financial risks. In this job is typically responsibility of the project managers. Cost control is not only budget control, but it also planning, and preparing of the potential risks. Risk can be set the failure or success of the project. Cost it will cover the full life cycle of a project. Initially cost of the project plan estimation is exceed the $25K. This project plan is maintain the efficient time control and resource planning due to control the budget below $20K. Cost of this project plan is $15,200K.
Quality can be defined as the customer’s expectations or exceeding the customer expectations achieved by the way of deliverables of project plan. Project quality is depends upon the cost and time estimation of the project plan. Quality include the three important task. They are inputs, process, and outputs. Input of the project plans is WBS, and scope of the project statement. Process is include the plan, execution, quality control, and duration.
Project results will be used by the stakeholder or benefit from project introduction (Stanek, 2014). Project results will be used by the stakeholder or benefit from project introduction. Responsibilities of the stakeholder is understanding the project plan and fit with specific area. Mainly known the requirements of the project plan. Resources management is the responsibilities of the stakeholders. Stakeholders are verifying a key project deliverables. And most one important of the stakeholder responsibilities, identifying the risks and project issues and associated change the managing transition phase. Stakeholder is the success of the project and they have a number of responsibilities in this project plan. Stakeholder need to identify the project proposal and sponsor by the development to training, implementation and support.
Functional requirements are relevance to the technical function of this system (Oppenheimer, 2011). Resource management, engineers. In this software development, a functional requirement of this system and it describe the set of input, the behavior, and outputs of this project. Functional requirements of this projects is calculations, technical details, processing, hardware changing, and data manipulation and other specific function. Non-functional responsibilities is based on the projects.
Some example of the Non-functional requirements are performance requirements, operating constraints, platform constraints, accuracy and precision, portability, reliability and security. Non- functional requirements are rottenly called as quality attributes of a system. Non-functional requirements can be classified into two ways. They are execution qualities and evolution qualities. Execution qualities is security and usability. Evolution qualities is testability, main ability, extensibility and scalability. It’s embodied in the static structure of the software development (Patel, 2008).
The stack holder analysis helps to know about the characteristics of the stack holders and the knowledge regarding the business policy. The entire processes involved in this project need to be analyzed. Then the policy will be chosen to define the business. The key stack holders will be selected. Then the tools which are adapting the project will be chosen. By using the information which got from the stack holder analysis, the table will be filled up.

The communication plan (Lock, 2013) describes the complexity level of the entire project. If the project is going through as a complex projects then it should require a detailed communication plan. It defines the project team members and the stack holders’ information which is related to the project decisions and schedule. When the communication is not working properly then the project will be delayed.
The Risk matrix can be used for many purposes. Here risk size and risk controls can be estimated from the risk matrix. Risk matrix is a very useful tool that provides the awareness to the business owners and gives visibility to the shareholders. Risk matrix can be in the form of probability matrix and impact matrix. Place, Project and People are three Ps that controls everything in the risk matrix (Garbolino, Chery, & Guarnieri, 2016).
Risk matrix can be formed in 2 D in which severity goes in one axis and probability goes in another axis (Garbolino, Chery, & Guarnieri, 2016).

Risk matrix got three areas.
Severity = Low and Probability = Low: Risks will arise and the controls will vanish the risks.
Severity = High and Probability = High: Serious Risks will arise and the effective and well planned controls and control measures are needed for this risks.
Severity = Medium and Probability = Medium. Medium level risks will be there. Need to be monitored and suitable controls needs to be applied.
Risk matrix shows all the severities in the risk matrix. Some risks are life threatening. People, Assets, Reputation and Environment are the affected components in the severity based risk matrix.
One small injury can be taken as a negligible severity risk. Multiple small injuries and one major injury can be taken as a risk with medium level. One death can be considered as a critical risk. Multiple deaths can be considered as a major risk with Catastrophic severity.
- Suitable logical network design needs to be done based on the major future requirements in the IT Infrastructure.Gantt chart shows this tasks and associated tasks. The requirements of the future network were fully investigated and suitable logical design is prepared (Teare, & Paquet, 2006).
Gantt chart shows this tasks and associated tasks. Existing network was fully investigated and the future network design is prepared. Suitable switch, router and firewall devices are selected (Tulloch, 2012).The future network should have centralized user authentication, automatic IP address management, local web server, local file and print server (“Configure Print and Document Services”, 2017).
Gantt chart shows this tasks and associated tasks. Existing network was fully investigated and suitable design is prepared. The centralized user authentication can be achieved using active directory domain services (“Install a New Windows Server 2012 Active Directory Forest (Level 200)”, 2017). Automatic IP configuration can be achieved using DHCP server setup (“Installing and Configuring DHCP role on Windows Server 2012″, 2017) (“What’s New in DHCP”, 2017). Local web server can be designed and configured using Microsoft IIS 8.5. Local print server can be setup using Microsoft print services. Local file server can be setup using Microsoft file server services.
Conclusion
To achieve the main objective of the project, an efficient developing environment is required. In this project, the objective, start and end date and duration are outlined in detail. Completion of the project on time is an important strategy. So to complete the project on time, the project team members and resources required are investigated. According to the requirement analysis, an efficient project plan is developed. Both functional and non-functional requirements are analyzed and gathered. To get the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), the project scope is determined. The actual cost and budgeted cost of the project are estimated.
The quality of the developed project is analyzed. Based on this analysis, the quality of the project is examined. The stack holders are essential for developing projects so that the analysis on stack holders is carried out. The project time duration is estimated and the resources are allocated according to the need. The Gantt chart and Network diagram of the Project plan are drawn using the appropriate tool (MS Project). The communication plan and the risk management plan are discussed in detail. Then finally the deployment of the project plan are discussed and the risk management plan are detailed.
