Creating a Project Plan
The project report is prepared for the development of a new infrastructure for the organization that would help the organization to gain new opportunities and increase the competitive advantage. The new infrastructure includes development of a website and mobile application that would help the consumer to reach the organization directly. With the increase in the business the management process is needed to be improved such that they can serve more number of consumers at a time. The online presence of the business helps the company to reach more number of user and thus improves the current business process of the organization.
For the development of the website and the application a project charter is prepared and an analysis is made on the requirement for the preparation of the project schedule. A project plan is created that would help the team members to develop the project according to it and reduce the error in the final project.
The project is developed for a medicine shop that currently have three branches but there is no online existence of the shop. The company have the requirement to open one new branch and it has become difficult for the management department for tracking the sales records and the stocks. Thus the shop owner needs to develop a website that would create virtual store in the internet and show the details of the stocks, and product available in the store and reach more number of customer at a time.
The main goal of the project is to eliminate the errors in the business that can cause due to the manual process and increase the efficiency of the current business process. New strategies are implemented in the business to gain competitive advantage and attract more number of customers. The operation cost is also reduces with the implementation of the website and application and the organization would have a centralized control on the different business process.
The scope of the project is to develop a website and application that would help the user to search for the availability of medicine in the store and pre order it if it is not available. There are other scope that are related with the development of the website such as:
- Development of a virtual store for the customer for reaching more number of customers
- Analyse the requirement of the customer and develop the website aligning their needs
- Promoting the website and keep the interface simple focusing on the needs of the targeted users
- Provide training to the user for updating the information in the website and reduce the risk of error
The following are the list of objectives identified for the development of the project:
- For increasing the sales of medicine and reach more number of customer for increasing the growth of the organization
- For reducing the cost of business operation and increase the profit percentage
- To use relevant information in the website for making it informative and help the user to gain more knowledge

The deliverables of the project consists of the following:
- Project plan
- Analysis of requirement and estimation of the project cost
- Project report development for the progress in work
- Development of project prototype
- Development of the virtual medicine store
- Development of the mobile application
- Analysis of risk and mitigation
For the development of a project plan a SDCL model is needed to be selected for developing the project according to a software development methodology. It is used for promoting the continuous iteration and testing different activity by focusing the core values of project development. The team and the individual interaction should be maintained and the software used for development should be identified. The users of the website and the application should be involved in the development process for the identification of their needs and a quick response should be maintained for management of the changes and aligning the development with the requirement of the user.

Project Charter
The main scope of the project is to add all the details of the medicine such that the user can get all the details of the medicine and get the availability details. The project is also needed to be completed within 15.5 months and within the estimated budget of $2,400.00. The web site is tested to be compatible with all screen size and platform such that the user does not face any difficulty.
The delivery of the item and the management of the shipping is kept as out scope because it needs to be managed by the employees and it is dependent on the availability of the transportation and traffics on the road.

The relationship of the activity and the resources are demonstrated with the means of the work breakdown structure. The following network diagram shows the critical path of the project that are demonstrated with the means of arrows. For the development of the WBS it is noted that each of the activity is linked with one another and for the case if any of the activity is linked with more than one activity the relationship is represented with the means of PDM Precedence diagramming method. The relationship between the activity can be of four types such as:
- Start to finish
- Finish to start
- Start to start, and

There are different risk associated with developing the website and the application and they are categorized as:
Market Risk – There are different websites and application that can be efficient and the user may feel to use the other application causing a market risk.
Overbudgeting Risk – During the development of the project the some extra cost may be added that can cause exceeding the time limit and the cost of the project and that can problem for the project to complete it within the proposed time.
Usability Risk – The interface of the website and the application may be complex and the user might face difficulty while searching an item from the webstore and thus reducing the usability of the system.
Profit Risk – The profit percentage of the medical shop can be increased with the development of the website and the application but the development cost can exceed the profit earned by the organization resulting in compromising the quality of the project.
The constraint faced for the completion of the project are listed below:
Time – It acts as a constraint because the project needs to be completed within a deadline and if any of the activity fails to meet the deadline it acts a constraint. The cost of the project may increase with the increase in time of completion of the project.
Cost – The resource such as sponsor, financer should be arranged for the development of the project and the cost of the project is increased with the development time. If sufficient cost is unavailable the project may fail to be completed with the proposed needs.
Complexity – The number of skilled employees needed for the completion of the project is dependent on the complexity of the project and it also increase the cost of development of the project.
Project Plan
Conclusion
For the development of the project a project charter is created that would help to analysed the background of the organization and the requirement for the development of the website and the application. The benefits of the development of the project is analysed and a project plan is created following a software development methodology. The resources required for the development of the application is analysed and aligned with each of the activity involved in the development of the project. The stakeholders of the project is identified for the development of the project and the deliverables of the project is included in the report for calculation of the budget of the project. The risk associated with the development of the project should be managed with the development of a risk assessment matrix and for eliminating the risk and increase the quality of the project. The relationship of the project manager and the other resources of the project is identified and the roles and responsibility of the resources should be identified development of the project. A network diagram and a work breakdown structure is also created that would help to assign the responsibility and complete the project within the proposed duration and time.
