The risks factors that have direct impact on development and successful implementation of project are changes in scope, lacking in scheduling of tasks and engagement of stakeholders. For example, regular changes in project activities and scope will affect the progress and increase the time of completing the project. If organization is looking to manage the project effectively then consideration of planned change management approach will be beneficial. This process will involve sharing of information related to changes to stakeholders and gain their acceptance to implement the changes. This kind of approach will increase feasibility of project and help to gain the support to various stakeholders. Additionally, the lack of communication and knowledge about new technical functions are affecting process of managing operations for this project (Freeman, 2017). However, the project is not having any negative impact on environment and society but lack of information and knowledge might influence the success of asset management information system. The level of complexity is also high for this project that creating various issues for organization to meet the business objectives as well maintains the high standards for managing quality. The project is about managing the staff operations and improving the control. The task for project manager is to manage the activities in efficient manner and overcome the issues that ABC construction organization is facing in the communication and storage of information. The proper management of change control process is needed to be achieved by organization through this process (Guo and et al., 2014). Moreover, the project involves the number of small subsystems that are mutually depended on primary objectives of the organization.
Project C: Infrastructure Design
Project B
This project is started with the objective of developing the remote area in the ABC construction organization and increasing the facilities for society. According to given scenario, the organization is lacking to deliver the expected standards and quality in product and services to their clients and the agreement for this project is developed for managing the same issues. For the proper management of organizational strategic objectives and meeting the expectations of clients, the management decided to develop the remote areas through this project (Harrison and Lock, 2017). For this project, the specialized components are ordered from the international suppliers. The ordered for international suppliers are made 3 months before to overcome the delay in supply of the products and services to complete the project. The agreement covers all requirements and issues that might affect the progress of the project. The key stakeholders for this project are project team, supplier, and employees of the organization as well as the managers of the ABC construction organization. The roles of stakeholders are to analyze the situation, contribute to the planning of operations, an arrangement of resources and proper utilization of them to meet the strategic objectives of the organization. The major issues that found in this project involve lack of consideration of change control reorients and engagement of stakeholders to maintain the flow of operations (Bryson, 2017).
The issues like procurement of resources, lack of skilled and knowledgeable human resources as well the prices of labor are having a negative impact on the process of organization as well influencing the outcome. The major risks in the project of developing remote area are changes in exchange rate, cost of the project components lack consideration of required financial resources hindering the opportunities for completing the project successfully. There is also the issue of sustainability and to meet the requirements of the client and achieve the goals of the ABC construction organization (Burtonshaw-Gunn, 2017). Now, it is essential for the project manager to analyze these issues and develop the plan and activities to manage the issues and complete the project in estimated time and cost. The priority of project manager is to develop proper scheduling of operations and allocate the budget to project teams that to manage the progress. Moreover, the project needs to be proving beneficial for organization and society. The lacking in the integration of project could affect the deliverables and proper services that going to be managed through a remote area. According to given scenario, the project is 25% completed and the requirements of the organization are managed as per the desired qualities. The complexity level of this project is moderate as project team or manager can manage it with normal efforts. However, the gap in project integration might affect the organizational process in fulfillment of deliverables but the proper planning and management will help to meet the quality standards and proper utilization of resources (Pace, 2017).
Project C
The agreement of project C is related to development of infrastructure and design of the ABC construction organization. The objectives of this project are to offer better services and facilities for client organizations and developing advance planning and design to satisfy the needs of customers. The expectation of organization from this project is to expand the business with wider sense and improvement in the numbers of clients overseas. As per the given scenario of project the key stakeholders of organization are contractors, supplier, employees, citizens and investors. The board of members of ABC construction organization is considering needs of each stakeholder to manage the project functions as well offering of benefits. The generation of idea and analysis of interest of engaged people has been done through meetings and brainstorming with them. The time and cost of this project is high as sit going to be implementing in the large organization. The major issue for this project is proper consideration of environmental standard and activities of stakeholders. The communication among stakeholders is essential that will help to increase efficiency in work. For that purpose, the project manager will use stakeholder communication matrix which will support to manage the project issues and elimination of risks (Harrison, and Lock, 2017). The consideration of change control requirements will also support to manage the changes and submit the review request.
Moreover, the manager will ensure quality in decision making and proper distribution of role and resources to the team members. This kind of approach will helps to ensure effective implementation of project plan and management of change control process. For large project, documentation of requirements and initiatives is essential that will help to promote the transparency and information about define objectives. The current project about design and development of infrastructure for organization is sustainable and having impact on economic, social and environmental activities (Wynne and et al., 2015). The initiatives of ABC construction organization involve improvement in the sustainability and managing the effectiveness by engaging the stakeholders.
The proper knowledge about social and environmental issues will be essential for increasing the feasibility and success of the project. The project manager will emphasis on environmental issues and develop plan to overcome wastage and issues for the people. The outcome of this project is expected to be achieving through managing sustainability. In spite of that, the issues could affect management planning involve lack of procurement analysis, scheduling of tasks, stakeholder management and allocation of financial resources (Sánchez, 2015). For example, estimation of cost and selection of alternative functions is important for overcome the situation of delay in the project as well meet the satisfaction level of clients. Additionally, disagreement with client and consideration of Citizen Action committee is also having significant impact on the investment and development of infrastructure. The changes in scope and requirements will also affect the integration of project components and achievement of objectives.
Project A
This project is involving various small subsystems that having a significant impact on the development and integration of the asset management information system to manage the internal process of ABC construction organization. The development plan of this project will focus on mitigation of risks and issues that are affecting progress as well influence the time of delivery. According to analysis, the major issues in this project involve slack of change control request, stakeholder management and documentation. The communication gap between the staff and project team is affecting the project completion most (Heagney, 2016). Now, to manage this project and meet the specification, the project manager will implement the agile and critical chain management project approach. These approaches to project management will support to manage the progress and complete every small phase of the asset management information system. The use of agile and critical chain management approach will support to manage the project life cycle and overcome the issues of failure in the project.
The major objective of this project is to improve effectiveness in client order planning and delivery of project and services. The change request by stakeholders needs to be evaluated by the top management for avoiding the delay in the project as well achievement of quality parameters. Moreover, the consideration of project life cycle process of project management will help to maintain the systematic flow of operation in developing sub-system and achievement of goals and objectives (Kaiser and et al,., 2015). The project manager will conduct regular meetings and collect the documents from team members to improve monitoring of the tasks and offer support to manage the specific issues of team members. Apart from that, risk management planning and effective communication among team members will be required according to planning to achieve the goals and objectives of a project for ABC construction. The review of the scope and clear definition of the request will help to allocate the role and responsibilities to team members and offer training for managing the particular tasks more appropriate manner. If the individual member will take the responsibility to manage their tasks in required manner will help to achieve the goals and objectives by considering issues of stakeholders and utilization of resources. The use of advanced technology in engineering tasks will help to increase efficiency and minimization of the cost that will support to encourage the profit margin (Kelly and Chisholm, 2017).
Project B
The project B is about the development of the remote area in the ABC construction organization for managing their engineering functions more professional manner. The project is already running and having some issues regarding financial and procurement. The lack of supply chain management and application of software and hardware is affecting project management activities of the organization and meeting the quality standards. First of all, the manager needs to develop scope and analysis of requirements of different departments through this project for developing the plan. The proper analysis and information will support to manage the supply of services and reduce the chances of delay in the project. The cost management and risk protection strategy will be considered for managing tasks in a planned manner. The approach that project manager could use for this particular project will be waterfall model to develop the report area (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). According to this model, the project team and ABC construction organization will develop an idea of engineering for managing and establishing the remote area. The system design process is the second stage of a project in which project manager will select and confirm the design of system by focusing on needs of the client. The process will analyze different alternative functions for developing a remote area and involve the interest of stakeholders in achieving the goals of a project.
The development of the remote area is essential for engineering organization for managing the poor thermal resistance through the glass and provides the natural ventilation form of louvers. The management of quality in remote area development is one of the major challenges for the project manager to meet the specification. For that proper monitoring and supervision of each task is needed on regular basis (Lock, 2017). In order to improve the sustainability, the proper management of time and cost is essential for completing the project. For better supply chain management, the use of Just-In-Time strategy will be beneficial for the project manager. This kind of approach will support in managing the supply of raw material according to needs of developing the project and work according to design. The proper assessment of risk and utilization of resources in an effective manner will help to avoid the complex situation and meet the desired objectives successfully (Zhang and et al., 2018).
Project C
This project is about development and implementation of design and infrastructure for ABC construction organization involving the society. The design and implementation process is requiring skilled labor and procurement strategy that support in the achievement of objectives for this large project. For managing the project activities, the manager will apply a traditional approach that involves elements of initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring and controlling as well closing. The manager will analyze current conditions of the project and develop plan for initiating with proper scheduling. The analysis of requirements and alternative measures for services as well infrastructure design will support to complete the project in estimated time and cost (Martin and Haggerty, 2017). To complete the project in given time period, the manager will apply Adaptive Project framework. This approach is beneficial for managing complexity and uncertainty in the project. The use of the traditional linear approach to achieving potential outcome will help to maintain quality standards and minimization of cost. To maintain the flow and achievement of objectives with influencing changes, the implementation of the adaptive framework will be helpful. The changes in scope and requirements are one of the major issues in this project. The consideration of traditional approach and adopting the changes to maintain continues efforts will help to overcome issues (Kerzner, 2017).
Expensive labor and stakeholder management is one of the key issues for the ABC construction organization to maintain the flow of the project. To overcome these issues the manager will conduct stakeholder analysis by using the mapping tool that will help to gain the knowledge and understanding of their needs and engage them by offering proper support. Moreover, the actions proposed by Citizen Action committee will be considered for coherence with the environment and society. The manager will involve alternative options for developing infrastructure and acquiring sufficient information related to project (Kivilä and et al., 2017). Now, prior communication and consideration of stakeholder interest will help to achieve the objectives by using adaptive framework approach. If the manager failed to manage the project activities according to planned manner will increase the cost and time. The use of digital tools for communication and offering the real time information will be beneficial for organization to achieve the goals and objectives. In spite of that, training to the team members will lower down the cost of labor as existing people will able to complete the project (Ko and Kirsch, 2017).
The report will provide information about project management function and ongoing activities regarding the projects. The selection and implementation of project management approaches is essential for project manager to achieve the goals and objectives as well the quality specification of ABC construction organization. The report also offers details for managing project operations and utilization of resources as per the conditions. By reviewing the report, the board of directors will be able to gain knowledge about issues and approaches that need to be applied for achieving goals.

The stakeholders that are contributing to management and completion of the project are shareholders, investors, employee and users of services. The objectives of developing a remote area in the organization will help to improve the operational activities and proper utilization and assessment of resources. This kind of approach will improve the planning and implementation function of the ABC construction organization. The major risks factors of the project are collection and distribution of funds considering the exchange rate (Schaltegger, and et al., 2017).
Project C
For the ABC construction organization, project C is about design and implementation of infrastructure to improve the engineering function and achievement of strategic goals. The estimated cost of the project is $20 million and completion time is 4 years. The project manager and project team are having good knowledge of managing quality standard to meet the objectives of the client organization. The project is having less complexity level but the impact on environment and society short and long-term period. The major issue that is affecting project is stakeholder management and integration of process to achieve the goals and objectives (Nicholas, and Steyn, 2017).
Project A:
For any project, it is essential to conduct the analysis of requirement and feasibility test to identify the success rate of the project. The understanding of issues will help to develop and implement the project management plan more customized manner. This project is 35 % completed so the feasibility of successful completion is high. Apart from that, planning of resources and distribution is essential for increasing the success rate. For that, it has been recommended to monitor the work of individual and offer the support for team members to manage the issues in real time (Meng and Boyd, 2017). This approach will reduce time and cost as well the quality of the project of developing the asset management information system. Moreover, stakeholder analysis and understanding of their capability for proper distribution of work is beneficial for managing project functions.
Project B:
According to analysis, the feasibility of this project is low as the expected outcome and performance of the team is poor. The project is already 25% completed but the quality of remote area function and design is low. The major reason for low quality is lack of scheduling and engagement of stakeholders. Now, to improve the effectiveness of project manager needs to analyze the needs and wants of stakeholders by conducting stakeholder analysis (Medina and Medina, 2014). The contribution of supplier, investors and management team is essential for increasing success rate of the project. The focus on agreed charter and purpose will help to increase the possibility of completing the project as per the required quality.
Project C
The large project has different issues regarding management and selection of approaches that could influence the feasibility of the project. The team that is developing design and implementation of infrastructure is lacking in proper understanding of the specification. The project manager needs to focus on financial planning and documentation of operations to improve the feasibility (Martinelli and Milosevic, 2016). The supply chain of raw material and process of gaining support from the stakeholders will be beneficial for completing this project and achieve the goals. To encounter, the issues prior analysis and planning will be useful to complete the project on time.
The project management process is broad and involving various elements that can help in the achievement of goals and objectives. The project manager is having good knowledge and experience of managing these kinds of operations but lack of communication and changes in requirements affecting the existing progress. The cost of these projects is high and management is looking for high quality. Now, to meet these objectives project manager could use the scoring model for providing the ranking and gain knowledge about the effectiveness of existing approaches and projects (Stark, 2015). The ranking will help to identify achievement of goals and deliverables. In addition to this, to increase the acceptance the analysis of change control request and needs of individual staff members will be beneficial for ABC construction organization. The training and monitoring of staff members will also help to lower down the cost of human resources and craft improvement in the quality of projects. In the current scenario, technology is one of the best tools for managing cost and completing the tasks with automated functions. The proper coordination of human and technical resources will help to achieve the desired goals of projects. In spite of that, the manager needs to focus on the clarity of scope, communication with team members and consideration of needs of other stakeholders to increase the feasibility (Taylor, 2016).
The information about issues that are having direct and indirect impact on the development and implementation of projects are included in the paper. The essay will also discuss about implementation of changes in the project to achieve the desired goals and objectives as well improve the effectiveness of project. It will also provide information about skills and knowledge that required for project manager to maintain the effectiveness of project and deliver the high quality to client.
To complete and manage the engineering projects the knowledge and skills of project manager plays critical role. The current essay will discuss about upcoming issues in engineering project that could affect the progress in next 20 years. The project managers will able increase understanding through the essay for managing project activities. Furthermore, the essay will analyze skills and knowledge of project manager that could help to achieve the goals and objectives of particular project.
Project A:
To develop asset management information system, the manager is facing issues of managing time and standards that required by the organization. The major objectives of this project are to increase strategic direction of engineering organization and development of effective communication. The level of complexity is high as it involves different sub systems and functions that might influence the approach of project management. The modification and changes in technology are also having significant impact on the effectiveness and selection of project management approach. The project team is working hard to analyze specific functions of organization regarding the current project and development of plan to deliver sustainable information project (Teller and et al., 2014). The upcoming issues in information management system involve design and testing of functions according to need of organization and utilization of software. Moreover, lack of skilled labor and training to staff members will be major issue for the current project. For example, changes in software requirements will influence the scope and development of project.
Project B:
The project is about development of remote areas for organization to increase the effectiveness of ABC construction organization in managing the coordination with the stakeholders. The organization belongs to engineering discipline and the development of remote area will help the organization to manage the operations through virtual assistance and achievement of goals and objective. For managing this project, the organization is facing issues like high exchange rate, frequent changes in the schedule of tasks and engagement of stakeholders. The project team is also lacking in documentation of project operation that influencing the approach of implementing changes in particular function to overcome issue. The consideration of technology and training to the team members will help to manage the complexity level (Webb, 2017). For example, the changes in scope and technical functions are creating barriers for existing human resource team to perform the tasks to meet the specification of project. In the upcoming years, the project manager will also face issues regarding management of cost as the prices of resources are increasing and affecting the estimated cost of technical project.
Project C:
The project is based on design and implementation of infrastructure within ABC construction organization for expanding the business and managing internal and external operations. The major issues that could impact the sustainability of project are changes in environmental and social conditions, lack of knowledge about rules and regulations as well involvement of stakeholders. In addition to this, the cost of human resources and technical resources are increasing and having negative impact on feasibility of completing the project in estimated time and cost. As the cost of labor is increasing the cost of project will be high. Moreover, for design and implementation of infrastructure the use of project management approaches is essential (Turner, 2016). For instance, for project manager, it will be difficult to manage the cost of labor as client organization cannot compromise in quality so it is important for manager to maintain the standards in design and development of infrastructure. The lacking in supply chain management is also affecting the quality of project.
Project A:
To achieve goals and objectives of project, it is essential for project manager and team to overcome the issues by developing the plan for developing and implementing asset management system. First of all, project management team needs to develop strong communication and coordination that will help to take effective control over each activity. This kind of supportive environment and approach will help to execute the plan more professional manner. The analysis of changes and determination of a fix plan for controlling and managing tasks is required to increase transparency and help the stakeholder to understand their role and plan the activities (Rodriguez and et al., 2017). In order to complete is project the project manager will use agile project management approach that help in standardization of tasks and integration of subsystem for managing the issues. Fewer changes in project management plan are helpful for implementation of project and monitor the quality at each stage. The proposed changes will improve the accuracy of asset management information system.
Project B:
The priority of project manager is to develop proper scheduling of operations and allocate the budget to project teams that to manage the progress. Moreover, the project needs to be proving beneficial for organization and society. The lacking in the integration of project could affect the deliverables and proper services that going to be managed through a remote area. For this project, the specialized components are ordered from the international suppliers (Špundak, 2014). The ordered for international suppliers are made 3 months before to overcome the delay in supply of the products and services to complete the project. For implementation of changes the project manager needs to communicate with the suppliers and use of Just-In-Time process for ordering the raw material will be beneficial. Moreover, use of technical tool for managing operations will help to reduce the cost of labor and craft improvement in the quality of remote area services. Moreover, the project manager is working on these issues to complete the project on time and estimated cost (Marcelino-Sádaba and et al., 2014). The communication with the supplier is also low that influencing the integration of project operations.
Project C:
The major issue for this project is proper consideration of environmental standard and activities of stakeholders. The delay in project is affecting cost and satisfaction level of ABC construction organization. The development of plan for managing and implementing the project, it is essential for project manager to engage the stakeholders. The use of stakeholder mapping techniques will help to analyze the needs of stakeholders and development of strategy that could help to involve them. The changes in project have to be managed according to environmental conditions and social impact. For this project the manager is going to use traditional approach and coherence of traditional approach with advance technical resources will be needful (Vijayasarathy and Butler, 2016). The communication among stakeholders is essential that will help to increase efficiency in work. For that purpose, the project manager will use stakeholder communication matrix which will support to manage the project issues and elimination of risks. The consideration of change control requirements will also support to manage the changes and submit the review request. The execution of plan and selection of design and engineering discipline of organization will be achieved through consideration of contracting terms and conditions that need to be communicated to all stakeholders. Apart from that, environmental changes can affect the design and implementation of engineering project of development of infrastructure.
Project management is broad term that requires good managing skills and experience that help to complete the tasks with quality that satisfied the customers. In this whole process, the role of project manager is critical as the project manager develop plan, analyze the requirements, and select the strategy and alternative operations for managing task and achievement of objectives for client organization. The skills of project manager involve identification of risk factors and development of prior plan that could help to complete the project without delay as well as reduce negative impact on project. However, the project manager knows that uncertainly in the project can be occur anytime and influence the operations of but prior planning and use of protective strategy will help to manage them. In addition to this, the skills those are important for project manager in any sort of project process involve development of communication with stakeholders, scheduling of the tasks, estimation of time and cost to complete the project (Joslin and Müller, 2016). The communication and flow of real time information to team members or stakeholders is one of the important tasks of manager. For example, use of stakeholder mapping and conducting meeting with them will help to anticipate the needs and objectives of them to develop planning and scheduling of tasks. The project manager would be expert in scheduling of tasks and use of project management software to develop the network to allocate the resources.
