Considering the same, the research is focused on realizing the relationship between the physical attributes of men and their earnings.
Appearance of men is deemed to have great significance within the society and the people those understand the relevance of attractiveness knows the ways in which looks and appearance can be enhanced (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault 2015). Focusing on the same, the current research has several objectives to be attained after its accomplishment and is explained under:
- To investigate the concept and relevance of physical attributes
- To reveal the reason for which physical attributes are important for men in workplace
- To investigate the vital attributes of men within workplace
- To indicate the relationship between physical appearance of men associated with their earnings
The scope of this current research is focused on the physical attributes of men and the ways in which their appearance has facilitated them in attaining increased earnings. The research is also focused on explaining the physical attributes of women to make sure that this investigation is not focused on women and is confined to analyze the attributes of men. The research also facilitates in addressing the research gap that is one of the vital scope of this investigation. It will also elaborate that the employers measure distinct attributes of their employees including height, age, looks and the way in which the individual is dressed along with way of communication. Having good attributes for employees is anticipated to make an exceptional impression on the behalf of employees.
Concept of Physical Attributes
Bonilla, Kiraly and Wildman (2017) explained physical attributes as vital characteristics of an individual and this can only be recognized by others and is deemed to be instantly attainable. Physical attributes of an individual can be elaborated in several manner for the reason that different people have distinct age, height, body and shape. Bonilla and Wildman (2017) indicated that people have their own way of grooming and dressing styles, color, manners and the way of talking. Different people is deemed to have diversified viewpoints as their thinking pattern is distinct from one another for few people might have black hair and other have blonde ones. Bryman (2015) stated that few people might be tall and others dwarf or having average height and these days’ people are turning out to concerned reading judgment. They want to indicate their behavior that is quite relating with the matters of physical appearance. It is gathered that the misjudgment of other people are done and all the individuals within their lifetime is misjudged by people. Gielen, Holmes and Myers (2016) revealed that individuals often get misjudged based on their physical appearance and the people who misjudges other individuals does not bother whether they get hurt or take them on a serious note. For instance, if an individual is short heighted others might refer hi as dwarf or misjudge them in an appropriate manner.
Scope of the Project
Importance of Physical Attributes for Men in Workplace
According to Goldin (2014) workplace is deemed as a location in which an employees works within a professional background. While referring to professionalism, the most vital aspect that is considered is impression as it is said “first impression is last impression”. In a situation where an employee shows professionalism attribute towards the boss the individual is deemed to be highly impressed with their work. Grijalva et al. (2015) stated that impression of an employee is of great importance for his employer as it does not matter how good an individual is and the only thing matters is his impression. The most vital factor is the dress code of an employee that must be followed within the workplace for making better impression towards consumers or employers. King (2016) revealed that personal grooming is also an important factor within the workplace and when an employee works in an organization the individual must take care of his/her personal hygiene as it might seem as a small aspect but it is deemed to be an important one. Moreover, positive body language also reveals positive information to employees and negative body language can be annoying within the workplace.
Important Attributes of Men in Workplace
Lindlof and Taylor (2017) stated that there are several attributes that is expected by employers to attain from their employees. These attributes of employees includes intelligence, leadership, courageous, competence along with effective communication skills. These researchers also indicated that within the workplace, the employees require having effective communication skills with the employees along with the boss. McDowell (2018) indicates that employees require communicating with the employers for attaining huge success. Another attribute of men that facilitates them in attaining high earnings is their courageous nature. Employers always measures ability of the employees in accepting new challenges and accomplish task through accepting risks. Mutz and Meier (2016) evidenced that competence is another attribute within which the employees indicate their competence to accomplish assigned task. The individual must beware of its priorities and standards and needs to be confident to consider job role seriously along with having mental willpower to accept risks in case of several uncertainties. According to Scholz and Sicinski (2015) leadership quality of men also has an important role to attain success within the workplace and the employer also looks for such attribute in its employees.

Approach of Qualitative Research is employed in investigating the impact of attributes of men on their earnings. This technique of research is employed for the reason that it can serve as exploratory study. It can also facilitate in attaining a detailed understanding on the underlying opinions, reasons along with motivations. Qualitative research approach also offers insights within the research problem and facilitates in developing potential hypotheses regarding appearance of men in attaining increased earnings (Thomas, Silverman and Nelson 2015).
Reliability and Validity of the secondary data gathered for the qualitative research will be ensured through using websites and journals those have recently updated information and data on the appearance characteristics of men and its impact on attaining high earnings. Moreover, reliability of such secondary sources can also be measured through ensuring that the data that will be gathered will be analyzed in a better manner for attaining suitable research outcomes.
Simple random sampling will be used in this exploration for the reason that the participants have an equal chance of getting selected for the research. All the participants can get selected from a huge sample population in a simple manner (Thomas, Silverman and Nelson 2015). Sampling Size that will be selected in analyzing the impact of appearance of employees on their earnings, 51 male employees will be selected from Australian companies belonging to the age group of 18 to 40 years.
Process of data collection will be through employing secondary sources. These sources will include peer reviewed journals and articles on the different appearances of men and their earnings over the past years (Thomas, Silverman and Nelson 2015). Moreover, other relevant information can be gathered from website sources those are recognized and contain recent data of emerging trends of appearances among men to ensure high earnings in workplace.
Variables those are selected in this research include both the dependent and the independent ones. The dependent variable is earnings of men and the independent variables are employee appearances based on intelligence, leadership, competence, courageousness and good communication skills.

Sampling Size that will be selected in analyzing the impact of appearance of employees on their earnings, 51 male employees will be selected from Australian companies belonging to the age group of 18 to 40 years.
Interviewing and Questionnaire Design will be selected in was that the questionnaire contains both the close and open ended questionnaire for the respondents to answer (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault 2015). Questionnaire will be segmented into three parts that will include questions on demographic profile, attributes that are incorporated in them and the ways in which such aspects facilitate them in attaining better earnings.
Data Reliability and Validity of the research can be measured through employing Pearson correlation test. This will ensure that the statistical data is highly significant in gathering the suitable outcomes of the research.
Despite having several implications, the current research has certain limitations in explaining the impact of physical attributes of men and its impact on their earnings. One of the limitations is that as the research carried out primary research and it did not consider obtaining large sample that can facilitate in obtaining significant research outcomes (Shilling 2017). Moreover, another research limitation is that only one respondent segment that is men is considered and women is excluded in this research for analyzing impact of appearance on women. Considering this, the research has limitations in indicating difference within gender equality that will be addressed in future research.
