Expected Deliverables of the Assignment
The modern age has faced advancements in the field of the computing based on the networks and the applications have lead to a growth of explosive nature, which include the models like cloud computing, web stores and others. In the era of Internet, the role of Cloud computing has become important as an integral part of the scientific and technical communities.
Generally, the Cloud computing can be illustrated as an array of services that are provided by a group system based on Internet services. Cloud computing has been on the apex of the listing which represents that the Cloud computing will have an augmented force on the enterprise and most of the enterprises in the near future. In the meantime, Smart phones or Mobiles are considered as the delegate for a range of mobile devices as they have been associated to the Internet with the swift increasing of the technology of wireless network (Kabir et al. 2015).
Mobile commerce i.e. M commerce is a business on small devices like the mobiles and unlike the e-commerce, it can continue the activities which can be done through the portable devices that can be held in hand like the mobile phones and tablets anytime and from anywhere, through the wireless technology feature. The M Commerce and wireless technology of communication technology is being used in the field of E-commerce in, which one can find various functions such as tracking of the locations and carrying on the transaction of purchases (Niranjanamurthy et al. 2013).
The businesses can be additional influential and efficient by the incorporation of the Mobile Computing and Cloud Computing in its environment. The addition of the Cloud computing in M-commerce can deal with various issues and the services of Mobiles provide efficiency for the issues related to mobiles. The development of the E-commerce based on cloud computing also resolves the difficulty of scalability and offers on demand services to the purchaser. Numerous activities such as mobile balance recharging, shopping, booking of ticket, billing, employment process, classified ad, data sharing can be done easily by the Cloud computing (Strauss 2016).
The Cloud computing in M-Commerce has an allowance towards the users for the utilization of the resources and application with a certain minimum amount of investments. The investments on the software and hardware can result in the reduction of the capital expenditures (Aithal 2016). The M-commerce based on cloud computing has applications that enable the leaders of the business for the increment in the new and larger opportunities without great investment. The organizations can have a shifting of their business through online and nominal amount of risks (Jackson 2016).
M-commerce helps the people in conducting of the business, carry out transactions and examine the financial data. In the past times, the individuals were able to conduct the commerce through telephones or personally (Chesher et al. 2013). However, during the recent times the device such as PDAs and the smart phones have improvised and removed the boundaries.
The smart phones or the mobiles provide allowance towards the consumers in shopping like a normal computer. The usage of Web browser or one of the countless applications available online, the customers can purchase goods that are made accessible by the retailers or the wholesalers (Vasileiadis 2014).
Approach towards Solution
The wireless networking technology and the storage of the data in the cloud by the companies have become advantageous in the given various forms:
- Purchases and sales can be performed through the web and applications on the mobile and tablets (Gitau and Nzuki 2014);
- Payments can be performed online through transfer of money or mobile banking that have become a necessary part of the modern age (Ha et al. 2012) ;
Nordstrom
Nordstrom, Inc. is a chain of luxury department stores that is situated in America and has its stores of department headquartered in Washington. It had been founded in 1901 and had begun as a shoe retailer. It expanded its stock to include of the clothing, accessories, handbags, jewelry, cosmetics, and perfumes. The stores also comprise the department of the wedding and home furnishings (Howard 2015).
The mobile site of Nordstrom mobile site is an excellent example of a pure m-commerce site. The entire experience of the shopping takes place on the web resources on mobile and the site works too good like an application. There are many products available although sometimes the entire products are not available online like in the complete catalog of the entire website (Healy and Palepu 2012).
The mobile site and the applications consist of the home page that contains the integral information about the needs of the shoppers and more. It also comprises the function of searching, categories of product, information of contact, and locations of the stores along with the link to the main site (Zhang et al. 2012). The pages of the products contain decent and explanatory pictures, a description that is complete, and options of size and colors. The products have a possibility of getting an order by phone (Kandampully 2012).
It is interesting to note that Nordstrom has dealt with the issues of security during the mobile checkout. The site of the mobile requires the signing up by the consumer for a description on the full site before they can use mobile checkout (Turban et al. 2015). The users do not like to enter their information repeatedly on the keypads of the mobile and hence the company sends it to the main site first before the abandonment of the mobile cart by the customers (Johnston and Marshall 2016).
The company has thus been able to carry on the mobile commerce too effectively and efficiently. It has been able to carry the wireless transactions and store the integral data in the cloud storage for the accessibility of the customers and retailers from anywhere and at anytime, as per the suitability (Monczka et al. 2015). The cloud computing in context to the mobile commerce has thus, lead to a very efficient and effective management procedure for the company.
Thus, Mobile commerce has become an easy tool for handling and conducting the procedure of sales and purchases (Chiu et al. 2014). The ease in the transactions and the decrease in the overheads have made the solutions attractive and appealing to the consumers and is apparent with the growth of the online sales (Lim and Ting 2014).
Critical evaluation of the strategic transition of the aligned business model
Subsequent to the analysis of the present submission development of the E-commerce and M-commerce in Nordstrom Company it has been found that, the XML web server offers a wide variety of chances to the consumers. In addition, it provides to the users of the expected E-commerce for going based on the standard of the (B2B) i.e. business to business and (B2C) i.e. business to consumer. Subsequent to the accomplishment of technology of the mobile cloud computing, the models of B2B and the B2C have transformed to (D2D) i.e. the device-to-device model. The tactically united industry model lends a hand towards all the requisite characteristics of the technology of mobile cloud computing.
Potential Risks Foreseeable
The conventional E-commerce industry model had a great influence on the manufacturing chain of the industries of the E-commerce and the industry of E-commerce has dependence on the service providers of the Information Technology, providers of the arrangement incorporation, suppliers of hardware and to the developers of software. However, on the other hand, the progress taken as a whole about the developed architecture of the cloud computing is reliant on the statement or reactions and responses created from the clientele. If the clients make available optimistic response then the arrangement will be found to be advantageous. If it is unavailable then there will exist a situation of the development of the business architecture now.
For the mitigation of the purposeful and equipped problems that exist in the business, the business holder of the E-commerce for mechanical and repeated data administration become accustomed to the technology of the mobile computing. A range of specific characteristics such as recovery of disaster, flexibility of application, and backup of data are further added subsequent to the accomplishment of the technology of cloud computing. There is a creation of an association and relationship amid the layer of application and the layer of database.
In the course of this linking medium, the servers of web, services of Software, structural design of SaaS and the presumption engine can in a straight line, connect itself alongside the use of the feature of XML. The same include the details of the business registration along with the flat documentation. Simultaneously, the layer of cloud in addition develops a connection between the layer of presentation and the layer of knowledge falling within the architecture of cloud. This has a collective reference to the information service architecture.

For building and constructing the protected applications in an enterprise, Flipkart uses a mobile solution, for the rising number of employee and customer using the applications of mobile. The approach of <SAML> has been generated and the other mobile app has a direct connection with the connected retailers and the customers.
Development of realistic Mobile commerce application
Consequent to scrutinizing the present status of business of the Al-Arabia Surgical Equipment Suppliers there was a finding that the corporation has been facing the most important challenges in the processes of business. The same occurs due to the incurrence of the competition in the business organizations. The data administration move towards the Al-Arabia has been facing fundamental concerns and for overcoming these problems, the corporation has determined to expand M-commerce trial product model. There is an expectation that the new structure of the M-commerce will lend a hand to augment the entire revenues of the industry by setting up protected association amid the customers and the service suppliers.
Under the conventional advancement structure, the sales person gets an allocation to deal with the equipments of surgery to the doctors of the hospital. In consequence, the sales persons utilized to take action as a moderator or third party. The sales persons have to walk through all the places that are being planned previously by the corporation, per month. For the mitigation of these concerns and problems, an advanced M-commerce business application has been suggested. The director or the executive of the A-Arabia surgical equipment supplier organization has suggested the same.

Stage 1: Architecture and business flow
The existing sales order process consists of a scenario based on manual collection and administration resulting in increased workload for the salespersons. To reduce the same, the company Al-Arabia Surgical Equipment Suppliers LLC has considered the implementation of the mobile commerce applications for the business flow and infrastructure. The business flow chart of this proposed model is as follow:
The company will benefit the whole processes from the additions of the mobile access facility and the same is as under:
- The sales person will not have to continue the paper work and hence there will be a reduction of a great deal of the workload.
- The paper work had to be maintained by the company i.e. the administrative departments, which will not be required any more. Hence, the workload will be reduced considerably.
There will be efficiency and effectiveness in the ongoing process of managing and maintaining the whole process including the control of the stock and the inventory levels. The customers can easily have accessibility to the available stocks compared to the earlier process of weekly update. In new case, there will be an electronically update on a daily basis as and when the server is updated by the office. The customers can place their order following the process mentioned below
The server will have a record of all the details including the purchase orders, products availability and other required records. The data can be easily acquired anywhere and at anytime through the server connected to the mobiles and the applications (Van 2012).
The major implications that have taken place include the following:
- Customers can order personally and via their own devices and as per their requirement.
- The back office system will have to be maintained and integrated by the help of an IT technical or professionals (Hoffer 2012).
- The site will have to become modified and apt in accepting the orders and purchases online.
- The transport and other facilities have to be strong and efficient to manage the sales and distribution procedure of the company (Miorandi et al. 2012).
Stage 2: The technical requirements include:
- E-commerce: The company needs to sell the products and must decide whether there requires a change of credit cards or not. The shopping carts, maintenance of the user accounts, control of the inventories and calculations of deliveries requires higher technical requirements. There will be additional fees but has to be done for betterment of the company.
- Language of Back-end Programming: For the customization of the web software development, one has to check whether the system has a compatibility only with a specific language or has to implement new language for the programming and functioning.
- Support of the Browser Content: The browsers must have a content, which can be accesses and apprehended in a proper and simple manner. The support mechanism has to be strong and hence the same requires a lot of time for development.
- Web Integrations: The organizations have a major dependence on the services of third party like the automation of marketing, newsletters, contact management, control of inventory and other internet and intranet procedures. There must be surety in the synchronization and integration of the website for the essentiality and expectations of the work. There must be addition of the contacts as soon as the respective department receives any query. There must be a customization of the boxes for the vendors and the customers for writing something as a feedback or suggestion (Espada et al. 2015).
- User Accounts: There must be a management of the membership data on the site and take steps in allowing public to get right of entry towards the extraordinary or concealed content on the site. The access is to be given only after submission of the contact details or the email address or paying to view the integral data of the organization. A simple example can be the pages with the password protection that one can view with the matching password and does not need a logged in account.
- Accessibility: The organization has to decide whether the accessibility has to be to the blind users or users with limited visions. The active consumers must get the facility of accessibility to all the requirements available in the site instead of others.
- Mobile approachable Design: The version of mobile optimization of a website must be approachable by every public. The smart phones generally face no trouble in the display of the full sites that is enough and satisfactory for major users. In addition, an optimized layout for all the small tablets and screens can make major differences in the satisfaction and appealing of the customers and visitors (Chen et al. 2014).
Stage 3: Design structure
The design state must include the area within the organization and the area in which the surgical equipments need to be sold and communicated. The servers must connect every purchaser in particular along with the others.
Stage 4: Devices
Figure: The mobile platform devices of various versions of Android
Android 7.0: the recent and the most modern version of the Android platform has been leading towards an introduction towards an innovative characteristics into the platform of mobile commerce as it has a support of providing multi-window.
The Users is able to pop open two or more apps on the same display at one time and one-above-the-other in a split screen mode. Therefore, there is an allowance provided to the users in continuing with the presentation of the content at the same time of the user browsing or interacting with further apps.
The devices used in the construction of network and mobile devices are as under:
- Multiplexer: a tool that selects only single signal from more than a few electrical input indicators.
- Network interface controller(NIC): Device connecting the computers to a wireless process
- Wireless network interface controller:Gadget linking the computer to a network based on radio.
- Modem:Device that amends an analog signal to encode digital information and that demodulates such a signal to decode the information transmitted.
- ISDN terminal adapter (TA): a special gateway for ISDN
- Line driver: Device to augment the transmission space by intensifying the signal used in networks of base-band only (Pitoura and Samaras 2012).
The technical capabilities and the limitations are discussed above and there will be a requirement of highly specialized technicians and IT professionals. They will have to look into the matter with full thoughtfulness and considerations for the effective maintenance of the wireless control of the hand held devices (Wazir et al. 2013).
Stage 5: Reflection
I have learned that in the modern age, with the advent of numerous technologies, there is a major requirement of implementing the wireless communication processes managed by the server. There was a major hard work performed by the departments and the sales persons that, on the above studies and findings is concluded that the work stress will be reduced and enhanced. The proper maintenance and efficiency of the processes will help in the effective continuation of the business.
