The essay helps in the analysis and investigation of the role of the professional manager in the present scenario and the proper determination of the skills. The different competencies which are required are timeliness, proper communication skills, trustworthy, impartial and objective oriented as well (Gatewood, Feild & Barrick, 2015).
Timeliness is essential which will help HR manager in managing the compensation and performance of individuals. Proper communication skills help the managers in providing training to employees (Cooke, Saini and Wang 2014).
Skills are defined as specific learned kind of activities and the knowing the skills which is possessed by the person helps in determining whether training development has helped them in becoming prepared for specific kind of activity. However, competencies help in determining the requirements for success on job effectively (Shields et al., 2015).
The main aim and purpose of the report is to provide the brief description of Human Resource Manager in the organization and the comparison of the same with the current characteristics of mine effectively.

According to Cooke, Saini and Wang (2014), the allocated skills are essential for the managers in the present scenario as this helps in gaining huge productivity in the entire market. HR management practices along with the system has been linked to huge productivity along with gaining organizational competitiveness. On the other hand, the mixture of allocated skills such as communication, providing appropriate training and development to the individuals with business strategy is vital and rare even among the large companies.
Banfield, Kay & Royles, (2018) has hypothesized that functions of HR are support part in the whole business management and this helps in organizing relationship between the workforce and management to achieve the organizational goals effectively. HR functions have a variety of activities and policies and this assist in managing the organizational effectiveness as well. The HR competencies help in dealing with grey in which the different policies and procedures are being prepared by the HR manager.
As commented by Banfield, Kay & Royles, (2018), this has been seen that the skills of the HR managers include proper knowledge on recruitment, training along with development activities, providing the employees with their compensation and other benefits which are their rights. Furthermore, the performance appraisal and finance and administration tasks are being done by the HR manager as well and they are the ones who will be responsible for managing such tasks in the organization efficiently as well.

The recruitment and training skills of the HR manager is essential in nature in the organizations as this will help the organization to succeed in the different tasks which are required to be performed by them. Furthermore, Banfield, Kay & Royles, (2018) has commented that the managerial skills are essential for increasing the managerial effectiveness and this will improve the overall efficiency of the firm as well. The different HR management practices along with the system have been linked with increased productivity, higher quality work and organizational competitiveness as well.
Banfield, Kay & Royles, (2018) has hypothesized that the competencies of HR managers help in building relationship between the employees and this helps in communicating further in an efficient manner as well. The HR managers help in managing the entire performance effectively in which this will creating cohesive HR department which works collaboratively to achieve the different goals which assists the organizations in achieving the goals. Wilkinson, Redman & Dundon, (2016) opined that the interpersonal relationships and relationship building are fundamental in nature for the success.
Furthermore, the skills of leadership are essential in HR managers as they help in creating strategic plans for the HR department along with the overall workforce. Therefore, the skills of leadership are essential in nature and critical to attain the different goals which are essential. As an HR manager, Rees & Smith, (2017) commented that the communication skills are essential to communicate with the employees and this helps them in interacting effectively and outsourcing the different providers.
The quality of the HR to work with the diverse teams is essential and effective in nature and this helps the employees to be comfortable in the tasks which are being performed by them appropriately. The HR professional needs to influence and communicate with all kinds of cultures and groups and this helps the company to walk in the right path as well.
Wilkinson, Redman & Dundon, (2016) has commented that human resource organizational skills are a juggling act in which the organization will be gaining profit and this helped the company in gaining more competitive advantage. HR managers are flexible in nature in which the employees are benefitted from the acts which are being performed by the HR managers or the HR executives in the organization. Lussier & Hendon, (2017) has hypothesized that the HR managers have the quality to influence the different individuals and this is effective as this will help in performing the job in an effective and appropriate manner as well.

Lastly, this has been seen that planning in HR is essential as this helps in developing the skills of solving the various problems along with becoming leader who will be able to manage different kinds of activities effectively. Dessler, (2016) has hypothesized that the HR skills is the most important in the organization to help the company in generating success and this helps in managing and supervising different rules and regulations in an effective manner.
There are different kinds of skills which are required to be become desired human resource manager which will bring effectiveness in the organizational activities performed by the HR manager (Hollenbeck, Noe & Gerhart, 2018). The desired HR competencies plays important role in managing the different tasks in the organization effectively and this helps in maintaining the workplace ethics in a positive manner. HR is the field with varied kinds of responsibilities and this helps in managing the different job advertisements and this will be beneficial for the company in an appropriate manner as well Bratton & Gold, 2017).
In the appendix, there are two job descriptions provided for the HR manager position, from which it can be seen that the communication skills are lacking in me and this is required to be improved in an effective manner without much issues. However, on the other hand, the problem-solving skills is inbuilt in me as I tried to solve various management related issues in my career and this has helped me in becoming a successful HR manager.
Furthermore, the HR manager helps in addressing the different grievances and this helps in handling the conflict and the conflict is being resolved through proper communication channels and procedures effectively as well (Dessler, 2016). HR managers and professionals serve as liaisons between the employees and employer and this helps the HR managers to become more effective in performing their tasks in the organization as well. The strong oral communication with the different employees play a vital role in the organizations to keep the different information private and they are the ones who remain quite and calm under pressure as well (Banfield, Kay & Royles, 2018).
The HR managers in the organizations need to ensure that the employee information is organized and accessible in nature which deals with different queries of the employees effectively and this is the major competency which can be achieved by the organizational employees and employer effectively. The HR managers in the organizations deal with various issues in the organization such as related to compensation, performance appraisals of the employees and this helps in managing the individuals and the workplace environment and culture as well (Kavanagh & Johnson, 2017).
Experience is the best process to learn different specifications in specific area in the organization and this helps in the future development in the organization. The employees are required to be directed in the organization which is done by the HR professionals and this helps the organization to be more systematic in performing the different activities without much issues (Bailey, 2018). The role of HR in the company affects the aspects of organization and this helps in managing the different compensation and discrimination related issues which are being faced by the employees in the organization as this can cause huge negative influence on the organization.
Conclusion
Therefore, this can be concluded that these are the different HR skills which are required to be ascertained and this has to be attained by the individuals in becoming HR manager of an organization.
Furthermore, there are different skills which is lacked in me in which I do not have proper communication skills and this has affected my career growth as well. However, I am good in managing the different problems and I have the problem-solving skills that will help me in managing the different conflicts in an easy manner.
However, there are different communication and leadership skills which are required to be improved by me while pursuing my career in the HR department and this will help me in managing the different activities in an easy and effective manner as well. Lastly, these are the HR skills and competencies which are required to be adopted by me to gain more competitive advantage.
