The human resource management is one of the most important parts of an organisation and with the proper monitoring measures; it makes sure that the business development is progressing in a proper pathway. Some of the important literature is going to be reviewed in this segment to find answers to the research question.
Significance of having proper human resource management in different organisations
According to Camelo-Ordaz et al., (2011) different measures are taken into consideration by business expanding companies, but in order to manage the business, the organisations often use hard and soft human resource management according to the need. Hard human resource management means controlling the employees and their functionality to meet the organisational needs. On the other hand, soft human resource management is related to the efficiency betterment of the employees to increase the quality and the productivity of the organisation.
The human resource management ensures that the workforce is performing properly to meet the need of the organisation. The management ensures that the performance of the workers does not lack and to ensure the quality of the service, the management give motivation to the employees (López-Cabrales, Real & Valle, 2011). Motivation and support in every phase of development ensure that one employee is learning properly to help the organisation to meet the goals.
The Significance of Hard and Soft Approaches in Human Resource Management
There are different functionalities which one manager from the human resource department has to adhere. In accordance with Huselid, & Becker (2011), adopting necessary policies and amending the existing policies according to the need are some of the most important duties of a human resource manager. From recruiting one person in the organisation to providing training to him and monitoring the development; the role of an HR manager is important. A proper evaluation and approaching after deduction is necessary for the manager because not only the project completion but also the employee mentality and motivation is depending upon him (Nadiv, Raz & Kuna, 2017). Apart from making a proper set of activities of the entire team there are many other factors one manager has to consider on and some of them are, safety in the workplace, improving the service rate of the employees, ensuring relaxation period of the team and helping the auditors to find the issues in the company (Chowhan, Pries, & Mann, 2017).
From a plethora of research, it is found that adhering a set of policies and adopting the necessary ones can increase the productivity drastically, and the cost of to the company is going to reduce simultaneously (Mansor, Baba & Marzuki, 2016). The manager is the soul of the team, which is working under him and with proper analysis of the business ventures, the manager gives necessary advises to minimise the effort and maximise the productivity (Gutierrez-Gutierrez, Barrales-Molina & Kaynak, 2018). According to Liu et al. (2017), the role of the HR manager is undeniable in developing a business. In international ventures, the companies rely on the analysis of the HR manager to have an idea of the workforce present in the targeted country.
The literature that have been considered in order to conduct the research are authentic, and they have provided the necessary knowledge required to have a better idea related to the research topic. According to the used literature, there are many roles one human resource department have. The recruitment related provisions and training requirements that have been given in the section are important for the proper development of the workforce which is going to make a vast contribution to the development of the business. The HR managers’ are the main people who control the workforce and utilise them according to the need of the project that has been considered by the organisation. They asses the requirements of the organisation and provide a logical path to make sure that the goals of the organisation are met adequately.
Varieties of Tasks for HR Managers in an Organisation
The considered literature have provided information related to the role and functionality of the HR management team and the manager. However, the research objective of recommending measures related to adaptable methodologies for proper business development is not addressed in this part and it is the main gap of the literature. The literature has provided an idea of the roles and responsibilities of the management and the managers, but it has not provided a general viewpoint for different business organisations, which are working in different fields. Approach process differs according to the industry, and in this regard, the literature has failed to provide an in-depth perspective related to a particular segment. These are the few gaps of the research, on which the researcher has to focus by taking other approach strategies.
In order to conduct research properly, one researcher has to consider different approach strategies. In this context, selecting a proper research methodology is necessary otherwise; the viability or reliability of the research is going to be marred (Collings, Wood & Szamosi, 2018). In order to conduct the research, the considered research philosophy is pragmatism because is research philosophy deals with only fact-oriented data, which will be necessary for the research. Deductive approach is going to be considered in this project to have a deduction on the available data sources in different mediums. Exploratory is going to be considered in this research to have a specific data that can help in elaborating the facts, which are hidden under the data sources. In this context probability sampling techniques are going to be considered as the most reliable one and depending upon that different types of journals will be considered to have a precise data. Secondary data collection method is going to be considered as the best option for the research and with the help of the data collection method the researcher is going to get access to the necessary literature (Research-Methodology, 2018). Qualitative data analysis techniques are going to be considered in this phase, with the help of the researcher will have a considerable amount of supply of journals which contains refined data for research purposes.
The data that will be derived in this research will not be used for any personal purpose the data is going to be used for academic purposes only for the help of future researchers who are excited to pursue research on the same aspect. The given time for the research was low. More time would have given the research a better ending, though the derived data is acceptable. The research has provided the journals that have been selected in this case are authentic, but due to financial limitation, more journals have not been considered for research purposes, which would have been a better thing for the research.
The Importance of Adopting Necessary Policies and Amending Existing Policies
In this section, the gathered data is going to be analysed for a better result which can be considered as a research outcome. The researcher has considered different kinds of literature, peer-reviewed journals for the purpose, and attempted to answer the research questions logically.
How can human resource management help in developing the business of an organisation?
Human resource management is the section which makes people aware of the functionality and works for organisational betterment to enhance the production and quality of the product. Developing business needs proper ideology and logical approach. These two are necessary aspects which human resource management can have during contribution to the business development measures. The standpoint of human resource management is often considered as rational to the project development and just opposite to the necessities of the employees. The truth is, human resource management makes a proper approach, considering Hard and Soft HRM whenever they are necessary to meet the organizational goal by keeping the demand of the employees intact. The most of the cases it is conceptualised that the management thinks for the betterment of the employees to an extent and after that, they go for organisational goal meeting criteria.
Therefore, it can be stated that the management has to be submissive in some context where the employees are facing issues due to their considered decisions. Therefore, it is vivid that the management has to take relevant approaches which will include eh betterment o the employees and the organisation also. For this, a logical approach is always necessary where the employee perspective will be maintained. This is going to motivate the employees to work more productively for the organisation, which is a positive aspect for the employees’ career and for the human resource management also. Increased motivation is going to raise the productivity of the employees, and this will enhance the market capitalisation opportunity as well. Technical advancement is necessary for functioning properly in a competitive environment. According to the literature, the management needs to make sure of its steps because the responsibility of quality service is lying in the hands of the department.
How can human resource management be incorporated into developing business in different territories?
The flexibility of the department is the most important thing to be considered because the department is going to make sure that the venture is viable or not. The role of human resource management is not only limited to the internal functionalities of the department. During any overseas venture, the department makes a sound impact on the analysis segment. The report presented by the auditing team helps the department to outline an idea of approach which is related to the recruitment process. Apart from recruitment the department helps in planning and designing the development plans in accordance with the laggings of the newly recruited employees. The overseas market will be different, and the external environment may not be penetrable for the organization. The human resource management helps in designing a plan after analysing the external environment of the place. According to the external environment, the department outlines changes in the policies, if they are not complying with the external environment. According to the reviewed literature, a detailed analysis is necessary for proper incorporation of the HR management; otherwise, the incorporation may go in vain. These are few responsibilities that the HR department has to fulfil to ensure a proper organisational development in the un-penetrated market.
The Role of HR Managers in Improving Productivity and Minimizing Costs
What are the main responsibilities of HR manager in maintaining a proper development in different business ventures?
The role of a manager needs to be well outlined to derive the best out of a team. In this context, the organisation which is planning on a venture has to give the recommended actions to the manager from the HR department. In accordance with the company ventures, the responsibility is going to change. In case of recruitment, the manager’s decision is the final verdict, and the recruitment body has to comply with it. Apart from this, the manager has the authority to analyse any employee’s work of any team so that needed modifications can be added to it. Apart from the recruitment process, the manager has a responsibility of evaluating the team performance. The team which is performing in a joint venture needs a proper guide, and the manager acts like that. Evaluation of the performers and giving the required support is necessary for a manager. The literature review has supported the opinion, which has been depicted in this secondary analysis; and it is necessary to adhere to all the possibilities, which might harm the project outcome. There are many other factors which are needed to be fulfilled by the manager like, motivating the employees, taking rational decisions related to project quality improvement, meeting deadline of the project, employee performance management, solving workplace violence and many other factors.
From the above analysis, it can be stated that the purpose of the human resource management is to provide support to the entire organisation from all the possible aspects. The possibility of enhancing the service quality is always the first duty of the human resource management, and to meet the criteria, they implement necessary policies, which are relevant to the need of the organisation (Brewster, 2017). Human resource management takes care of the factors that are related to the market capitalisation and to do that they take relevant methodologies, which are often implemented after brainstorming. The requirement analysis is the first thing which the body does, and after a proper deduction of the issues and critical thinking they respond to the necessity with a logical process (Guest, 2017). The human resource management is the heart of the organisation which controls the internal environment and analyses the external environment. The external factors are related to market needs and industry analysis. They do not properly analyse the market but provide a necessary outline to the researchers; this reduces the cost of the market analysis and the legitimacy of the research data increases (Dundon & Wilkinson, 2018).
Research Methodology and Techniques for Conducting Research
For a necessary modification, it is necessary for the organisation to have an idea of the segment where the company is planning to invest. The manager of the human resource management is the sole authority who takes the decision of improvements in the team and the running project as well (Delery & Roumpi, 2017). The person helps by giving an outline of a running project and an idea of when the project is going to complete. Management is the sole authority who influences one employee’s work, and after evaluation of the work, they recommend necessary improvements, which ultimately help the organisation to magnify its services (Prado et al., 2018).
Recommendation and Conclusion
Conclusion
From the above research, it can be illustrated that the HR department has a proficient involvement in every organisational venture. The organisation cannot get success in any venture until the HR department is getting involved in it. The managers of the HR department are the main moderator, and their decision is final regarding any approach. It can be concluded that in a business venture resource allocation is a vital point, and the HR management successively fulfils the responsibility. With proper guidance and modification in the internal policies, the organisation is going to make proficient development in any business ventures.
There are a few limitations of the research which should be mitigated in the initial phase. There are too many journals which contain data oriented to the project, but not all of them are accessible for academic purposes. The HR management is not capable of taking a final judgement; they can only give their opinion related to project completion and development. The management has to make sure that the analysis is authentic and for that, they have to install machinery related to their requirements. Without all these the functionality is going to reduce and the department may not have a significant impact on the project management.
At first, the management has to identify the requirements which they need to fulfil. It is going to make them more reliable from every project related perspectives. The proficiency will develop, and the service will be thriftier.
The second thing is the management has to make sure that the approach process depicted by them is more cost effective than the ongoing process. For this purpose, they need an efficient and experienced person to take the lead role in a project evaluation purpose. This will ensure proper development in every segment.
