The city is also one among the fastest growing city in the United States of America with a population of more than millions of people. The city keeps on changing and innovating itself with a very fast pace. There is a notable change that could be seen in a city if one visits it’s even after a year. This paper will elaborate on the same. The main focus of this paper is to shed light on the tourism activities in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will elaborate on how tourism has changed in this destination and the positive affect of tourism in it. It will also present a brief overview of the background of the city along with a clear insight of the visitors, the forms of tourism present here, the key stakeholders of its and the regulatory environment present in the place. With the same, the paper will also shed light on discussing how the city has developed over time, the trends that have been occurred in this place in context to tourism as well as the positive impact that they had on it.
Nevada has a rich history of exploration and silver mining. There are several sites throughout the city that allows the visitors to learn and experience about the several different phases of history, inclusive of the Sherman Station Visitors Centre, Folklife Centre and the Historic Exhibit in Elko. Las Vegas is a place in the Mojave Desert of Nevada (Langford et al., 2015). It is a resort city which is highly famed for its excellent nightlife all around the world. People from different laces comes to visit this place only because of its vibrant nightlife that is centred on about 24 hour casinos and other entertainment options. The main street of this destination is which could also be regarded as its focal point, it the Strip, over four miles long. It is commonly known as one of the most beautiful train trips in North America. There are bus and train stops such as Elko, Reno and Winnemucca. The main airport of the city is the McCarran International Airport (Chhoo & Oum, 2013). The smaller airports however, serve towns like Elko and Reno throughout the state. However, it is suggested that the most convenient mode of travelling around the city is through car. It would allow the travellers are the outdoor lovers to travel on their own scheduled time rather than of following any set bus, air lines or trains.
