Task 1:
Discuss merits, limitation and pitfalls of approaches to data collection process and analysis:-
Books:
I have searched some books and references on how to make the field of magnet and also know arithmetic equations for the calculation of efficiency and knowledge of the value of magnetic flux and gain many experiences in this field.
It helped to identify the types of coils and how to pass through the magnet through which the theory of the work of each type to choose the best type of coils to implement the project.
Data sheet:
I used the Internet with books to find a transistor type suitable for the work of the circuit and also to know all the specifications to know if it was suitable or not and also for the easy test that was through the datasheet.
Websites:
One of the advantages of collecting information is searching through the Internet so that many information can exist.
And contains a detailed explanation to reach the required easily and contains many articles research (reliable academic research) without doing a lot of effort and also does not consume money during the search for information.
(24-hour) access at all times, and preventing the monopoly of information.
Through the Internet has been used from some videos on file formats and how to work correctly and know the most important links used in the project.
Search papers:-
I used the Internet to search for some reliable research papers to collect some information about the project of wireless power transfer for a full knowledge of it and a detailed explanation of its components.
I find a paper containing the circuit and components and explain them and calculations used to measure the efficiency and equations of the calculation of the flood magnet, and other pages contain help in the knowledge of coil types and calculation dimensions, and a third paper contains how to test the circuit on the simulation program.
Merits
Limitations
Books
- Explain the theories of magnetic flux and know its equations.
- Explain the types of files.
- Know how to measure efficiency through equations.
- Lack of explanation of the project department or its components and the absence of some important mathematical equations.
Data sheet
- Explain the theory of the work of transistor MOSFET.
- knew all his limbs.
- Explain how to test the transistor.
- Know its specifications. -Do not explain how the transistor is connected to the circuit.
Websites
- Gain experience and knowledge of new ideas in the project and through different videos.
- Know the prices of some components on the sites of companies. -Sometimes During the search, some important and useful information can not be reached because some websites are blocked.
- may be the information is unreliable and has many errors.
Search papers
- Explain the circuit and how it is connected and tested.
- Explain how to make the file with the completed dimension.
- Gain experience on the project. -The existence of some research papers is incomplete and this causes a major obstacle to the incomplete information to work in the project.
Confrontation restrictions while searching for information:-
- Sometimes the information is unreliable and has many errors.
- During the search, some important and useful information can not be reached because some websites are blocked.
- The existence of some research papers is incomplete and this causes a major obstacle to the incomplete information to work in the project.
- During the search in some sites, money is requested in exchange for taking information or writing e – mail.
- The existence of some articles in different languages can’t be translated for understanding and clarification so I had to use other means of research to collect the information to search for.
Task 2:
Evaluate the benefits and results of the project after research and implementation:-
The project has been greatly utilized during the research and its knowledge of its components and the circuits used and how to winding the coils and also testing the components such as the MOSFET transistor, resistors, capacitors and LED and know how to conduct the circuit connections to experiment on the simulator program and then run on reality.
from Benefits to the community and people: This project has helped wireless power transfer in the development of technology around the world and has solved many of the problems faced by the person in all places of work such as government departments, houses and companies so that everyone can use electricity at any time in the place where it is and deal flexibly.
The project provided the use of wiring in the transmission of electricity to operate the devices located in the place and also can charge the mobile without the need for wiring and thus can be handled more freely.
This has helped solve many wiring problems and also helps people with special needs to use devices such as charging the mobile without having to move to operate or connect to the source of electricity.
In the future, a wireless power transfer project can be developed to use electricity transmission at long distances in power transmission lines and to build many powerless power stations to facilitate the transfer of electricity between cities and it can be made between countries and this will save many money for the use of wires.
The merits of research project:-
- Using wireless power transfer will eliminate the use of wires, cables and stations that are inefficient in transmitting power and also save on cost.
- The electrical energy can be economically transmitted without wires to any terrestrial distance, so there will be no transmission and distribution loss.
- More efficient energy distribution systems and sources are needed by both developed nations.
- Short circuit and cable faults will not be present during wireless power transmission.
The evidence to this:
the tests and calculations carried out on the project in terms of efficiency and distance of energy transmission and safety testing.
The demerits of research project:-
- Capital Cost for practical implementation of Wireless Power Transmission at great distances to be very high.
- The effect of electromagnetic field and microwave radiation on people, but experiments and studies proved that they can be dealt with and avoid these problems.
The evidence to this:
The use of scientific accounts and references for previous studies on the project and the authoritative papers to assist in the calculations for the implementation of wireless power transfer at different distances.
The Strengths of research project:-
Unlimited wireless power transfer can be used in many places and move freely without any obstacles due to wires and more accurate transmission of electricity and the proportion of energy lost a little.
Helps avoid problems of breakdown or damage to cables or wires used.
The evidence to this:
I used the research papers to know the possibilities and efficiency of the work of the project and know how to avoid many problems and then we tried the circuit and proved that it can control the transfer of energy without wires through the magnetic flux.
The Weaknesses of research project:-
The project needs sufficient experience to deal with coils and know their types to use the appropriate winding of the circuit in the transfer of energy.
Need to know how to test components and connections so that faults are detected or faulted so as not to cause too much damage and the circuit will be unsafe to use.
The evidence to this:
Because there are many different types of coils so we need experience to know the types and how to use them so we encountered some problems in winding coils because of the lack of experience.
And the need for sufficient experience in testing components to detect faults.
