Gratefulness to God and the Canton of Kovié
First of all, allow me to give thanks to God for what he is doing for the Canton of Kovié, his sons, and daughters and by whose force we are here today because without his will nothing can be done. So, know that I am very happy to be with you for this memorial day of the inauguration of the school building and the computer room. The warm and friendly welcome you have given us goes straight to the heart and I would like to thank you. Receive also my dear brothers and sisters students my greetings. Today’s meeting gives me the opportunity to greet our big brother ADEDZE, the Commissioner of the OTR and to congratulate him for the tremendous work he is doing, both as a worthy son for this Canton and for the prefecture of Zio, only at the head of his department. I would also like to greet the Prefect of Zio, as well as the administrative authorities for their presence at this ceremony.
I would like to pay a big tribute to the Vice President of the Association Education Foundation For African Children, Mr. Mike Koetting, and his wife Beth, thanks to whom we have these jewels and who have traveled from the United States to be with us this afternoon midday.
I also greet the President of the Republic and his Government, associations, and people of good will who have changed the precarious school environment of our children in a flourishing environment. My greetings go out to all the educational community here, as well as the religious and customary leaders who are with us today. This day is a great day for me. A great day (PAUSE), because (PAUSE), I am very proud that rural villages such as ours, can be delighted to offer their children such school conditions, and to provide such a rich cultural service As you all know, the canton of Kovié is the chief town of the municipality of Zio II. He has a heavy responsibility to administer and administer the other cantons that are authentic to this municipality. It is up to us, the natives, to bring this Canton up in memory of our grandparents who led this fierce struggle that Kovié is what he is today. With this constant, our contribution to this development is not the rest. That is why, when on March 10, 2018, the request for construction of a building of 3 classrooms and a computer room signed by Chief Canton, the president of the CVD, the Director of the Catholic School and the Parish priest Saint Boniface of Kovié, has reached us, we have in less than two months offered what we have in front of us. We must have a positive look to overcome the difficulties that hinder our development. Dear brothers and sisters, schooling is for us the surest way to solve the street problem of children in our Canton. To this end, I would like to encourage you to intensify all initiatives aimed at improving children’s access to education.
Acknowledgments and salutations
What we often notice in our Canton is that many children register at the beginning of the school year but few are those who complete their primary education. Where are the others?
In the streets, in the maternity and paternity rooms. Dear Parents, take care of our children, to give them every chance to succeed in life. While keeping them in school, we can be sure of their safety. The problems of our children, which we do at once, can be easily solved if we are organized, but we resign and complain that we do not. Teach more now, the school has decreased in value. I would like to tell you the courses were given in unhealthy, humane conditions and yet good results were recorded. At this century the school has redoubled its values ??and adequate educational frameworks. More follow-up, more will to accompany our children. Let’s redouble our know-how too. Where are all these gentle beings going if we do not frame them? To educate is not a job, but an attitude, a way of being. Let’s change our mindset and our way of seeing our children in a way. They are an end in themselves. As for you, dear brothers and sisters, I would like to ask you to love school, which will enable you to be important men and women of tomorrow. That’s why we fight to put at your disposal adequate structures like these to facilitate your research and put you in the best conditions. My student brothers and sisters, the key is not to go to school every day, but the fundamental thing is to come back with a good head. You are the future of your parents, this canton, and the entire Togolese nation. All this in listening to your teachers, your parents and in the discipline, self-denial, and work that you will free the hardships of life. These premises will serve you not only pure contemplation but after you feel that hard-working students are passed. And I am convinced that in terms of intellectual life, in any case, the brilliance of these walls will carry its excellence. To our dear teachers, I throw flowers for your dual role of teacher and parent. Do more than you do. Every success must be a questioning for you, and every failure, a search. At the diocesan director of education of the Catholic Church, I humbly ask for your clemency, to review down the schooling of our children.
The importance of education and the role of the Canton of Kovié
Schooling exceeds our purchasing power to the point where we fail to properly ensure our responsibility. This causes the dragging of children in the streets and in the maternity wards. Some children are forced to go to school early to get money to pay for school fees; which is incompatible with education. Please take into consideration our grievances for the well-being of our children. The seven thousand francs (7000f) are insignificant but it’s a lot for us parents in Kovié.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I invite you all to participate in the development of this canton through the education of our children. Today they do not know their future. Yesterday, you too, at this age, did not you know it? As you know now, accompany them in their success. The buildings we inaugurate embody, beyond real estate policy, the vital force of the values ??sought. A force that passes through the quality of work of learners. Our century is that of the computer tool and no one can be a connoisseur if he does not know the computer. This world is a universe based on coherent, open research, built on intelligence, creativity, critical thinking and our children must not be spared. For that, I wished that this computer space is integrated into the school world, of course, that it belongs to the whole canton, but to allow a rapprochement in the initiation of our pupils to hours of course. And besides, it’s our motivation for this project. I will not finish without saying a thank you to the master mason and his team who knew how to give body and soul to our ideas from May 6th to June 30th instead of May 1st to 31st. July 2018. Either a month twenty-four days instead of three months of the employment contract. With your permission, they stand up as a sign of recognition. Master Mason, I wish you to continue being prompt and honest in your work.
Once again thank you. Also, thank the companies who brought us their knowledge, their technical expertise, their advice and their know-how; The representation of the Education Foundation For African Children-Togo for his courage and his frank collaboration in the management of this project, Father Casimir, the priest, an indefectible priest, for the success of this work and the development of this Canton; All of you who have contributed in one way or another to the realization of our dreams. We are very proud, my partners and I to see you very available for this day
