TOSIG is one of the insurance company and they cater insurance to the clients of the ne Suppliers. Their planning is to maintain the existing customer and increase the clients’ products to the clients. TOSIG wants to enrich the business growth. The business growth can get increased if the sales of insurance to both small and medium companies in the regional areas.
TOSIG arranges site visit for the customers for every five years interval. The agents assess all the details of the customers, the customers insurance details are assessed by the agents. After five years they visit the clients to renew the service. The agents update all the details of the clients. The customers may propose for some changes, the agents work accordingly and make the required changes.
In recent time TOSIG is facing problems to manage the business. They want to keep track of the clients and the agents however, they are failing to do it. In some scenarios like for the building construction the agents are offering insurance but in this case they need to manage the insurance risks. The clients are spending too much time in the bus entering the details of the clients in the system. In this way a lot of precious time is wasting. This shows that they are failing to manage the agents. They are also failing to manage the customers as well. The customers’ details are stored in the system and the database. The clients update the details al by manually. Thus the administrators of TOSIG have planned to update the prevalent information system and want to set up new customer relationship management system in the premises.
Background
TOSIG hopes that the new updated customer relationship management system will bring good to the enterprises. The updated system will be hosted on the cloud server. The customers’ data will be updated all by automatically. The agents do not have to update the details of the customers manually instead the data will be processed automatically with the aid of the software hosted on the cloud server. The data can be accessible anywhere and everywhere and from any device. TOSIG can be able to track the clients and the agents’ details. TOSIG is investing around $10000 to conduct the feasibility study.
Tier One Suppliers receive insurance from TOSIG. The insurance is offered basically on stockyards, machinery, fencing and storage silos. The clients get the visit after every five years interval from the TOSIG agents and the agents update or renew the insurance policies. They update the details of the clients and store the information in the database server.
TOSIG is having problems regarding clients and the agents in recent times. The insurances are offered in cases where it should not be given rather insurance risks must be managed. Again, the agents spend too much time in the office entering and updating the details of the clients. Rather they must serve the clients. Their productivity is suffering. TOSIG need to have control over the business operations, must control the clients and the agents. The advent of newly updated customer relationship management system can serve the purpose. The application software will be linked to the cloud. The data generated will be stored and will be updated in the cloud. The management staff can monitor the clients’ data. The clients’ data will be stored in the tablet and the tablet will be connected to the internet. The agents will update the data, in turn those data will be updated in the cloud. TOSIG in this way can manage the clients as well as the agents.

The risks, assumptions associated with the project are-
Private cloud is costly in comparison to public cloud
Private cloud is costly whereas public cloud is cheap in comparison to private cloud. TOSIG will have to pay huge amount of money to take up the cloud service. Therefore, they will have to spend handsome amount of money for the updated system.
The cloud computing is cheaper than on-premise computing
TOSIG has taken a smart decision to move to the cloud. For on-premise deployment they require hardware resources and the software resources and they will have to maintain it regularly. In case of cloud computing, they do not require so many hardware, however they need to pay the cloud vendor to avail the cloud service. They will have to pay monthly and yearly revenues to the cloud vendor; they will update the cloud database and the cloud vendor.
Milestone schedule (with acceptance criteria)
Conducting feasibility analysis and building suitable applications
TOSIG like every other organizations need to carry out the feasibility test. The feasibility test will help them to know whether they will be able to carry out the operations successfully or not. This will help them to know that the whether the project will be successful or not. The approach will let them know the underlying benefits of the cloud. Thus they need to carry out the feasibility study. The feasibility study will aid them in choosing the project method wisely.
The project manager has been hired to conduct the feasibility study of the project. The project manager has been given the responsibility to prepare a project plan for TOSIG. The plan will contain all the specifications required for the project plan. The customer relationship management system is responsible to host applications on the cloud server. The project manager has scheduled for the project budget. The project stakeholders will have to finish the project within scheduled timeline. The stakeholders will have to keep in mind the budget for the project.
