Definition of Robotics Technology
Robotics technology is the present and future of the whole world. Many companies are utilising robotics technology to make advancement in their business. Similarly, the Artificial Intelligence Company in Brisbane also uses robotics in various fields of their company. But the CEO of the company wants to use these robots to diminish their competitor’s powers in the marketplace. Therefore is the duty of the ICT manager to do some research on robotics technology and construct a five-year strategic plan based on the advantages of robotics technology.
Robots are one of the important assets in today’s world. The technology that helps in manufacturing robots is called the robotics technology. This technology helps to devise a robot, produces it and then upholds that robot. These technologies construct robots as replacements of humans. With the help of this robotics technology, the workload of diverse industries is diminished. These robots also applied in residential house works. They are mainly formed to reduce the labour of human beings(Trimmer, 2014). The robotics technology creates human-friendly robots so that they do not hurt the normal people. Instead of that, they just do their works efficiently and in a limited time.
The business industries use many robots in their firms. Robotics technology manufactures different types of robots. These different types of robots are:
- Delta: Delta is a small robot. The image of Delta is like a small animal with many legs. The foodstuff oriented firms, firms with electrical attributes; medicine industry utilises this robot in a successful way. One of the key features of this robot is that it can complete every work with precision (Cato, 2012).
- Cartesian: Cartesian robots are incorporated into three different portions. These robots are used as the support system of an organisation. They support the framework of the Association.
- Scara:Two compatible portions are assembled, and thus the scara robot is manufactured. The work of this robot is to accumulate various functions of the organisation (Oxlade, 2010).
- Articulated:Articulated robots are one of the preferred types of robotics technology. It is formulated with many small sections. It controls and manages the heavy works of a company (Nishiyama, & Iba, 2015).
- Polar:Polar robots are mainly formulated in round shapes. They are primarily used in the beverage industries.
- Cylindrical:Cylindrical robots are made of two-three portions. They also do some heavy works in the firms.
Robots are bringing new technologies to the business industries. With the help of these robotics technologies, companies can expand their business all around the world in a minimum period. The ICT manager of this artificial intelligence company has done some research on the utilisation of robots. The research shows that various enterprises and firms are using robotics technologies in the various departments of their association. The current applications of robots are discussed below:
- One of the greatest uses of robots can be seen in the medical field. Robots are exercised in the minor and major operations, and the success rate is unbelievable. Doctors control these robotic wings with the help of a processor, and the small robots do the operations. Operational robotics is advancing on a regular basis. Their hybrid technology enables doctors to do critical services from other places also. They can simply control the operating system from another location, and the machines would practically execute the surgical procedure (Senthil kumar, 2014). One of the main advantages of this robotics technology is that it would take minimal time, the hurting level diminishes, and the patient would recover speedily. Operational robotics are used in heart surgeries, plastic surgery, etc.
- One of the important uses of robotics technology is noticed in the national army camps. This is the smartest and essential use of the robotics technology. The army camps use robots to secure their human resources and to protect the nation. These small robots can work in the place of trained people. They have software which gives them the power to smell any transmitters, shells even gunpowder. They at first track those contrivances and then disable them. Apart from that, the police force utilises these robots in the critical operations. They use the robots as weapons and spies. There are micro cameras attached to the body of these robots, which supplies secret information from the enemy camp. Based on that information, the officers can strategize their next moves. Besides that these robots are also capable of planting bombs in the enemy camps. Andros F6-A is one of the best robots of army force.
- Robots are also used in the cultivation field. Agricultural works need large workforce and time. That is why robots are infused in this field. They reduce the workload of the farmers, and at the same time, they can perform the task more swiftly. Therefore the crop growing speed goes faster, and the work pressure reduces. With the help of these robots, farmers can observe the escalation intensity of the vegetation (Naik, Patel, & Guhaprasad, 2016).
- Robotics technology is used in the spacecraft or rockets. Rockets with robotic machines are used by scientists to know the environment of the galaxy. They send these rockets in different planets to examine the soils, water and air. Apart from that, a spacecraft operation also uses robots, such as RMS as their assisting equipment (Clevenger, 2011).
- Nowadays robots are applied to control the natural calamities and their damages. Natural disasters such as drought, heavy rain can damage lots of areas and affect the inhabitants of those places. Robots can help to control the damage in those places. For example, the earthquake in Indonesia was a big collateral damage. Almost 1000 people were trapped under a mosque. The Government used the robots to supply food and drinking water to those people. With the help of these robots, 950 people among 1000 were rescued by the Indonesian Government (Bidaud, 2012).
Therefore it can be said that the robotics technology is growing all over the world and every industry is using this technology for their development.
Australia has not yet been developed in the matter of productions and usage of robotics. The market and artificial companies have invested second highest amount of money in robotics which has gained the position just after the United States. Being an information and communication manager of a Brisbane based artificial intelligence company the functions of robotics are described in the below (Erikson, 2016).
The artificial intelligence organisation of Brisbane has to implement a strategy for next five years. The strategies should be applied for the development of the group. The strategies are described in the below –
- Savings in cost: The artificial intelligence companies have to bear the cost of the production. The firms are seen to be given sky-high salary to the executives and the co-workers of the organisation. But if the business organisations can utilise the usage of robotics then those organisation will get success in the future. Although it is evident that the robotics are also highly expensive for the company those are necessary (Shluzas, Leifer, Linehan, Steinert, & Sutton, 2011).
- Reduction in time management: The use of robotics may break down the time of production. The robots are used to work without taking any rest. The fluency of work can better be recognised in an organisation with the use of robots. The robots do not take any holidays or vacations in an organisation. So the momentum of work can be noticed well in an artificial intelligence company (Kishimoto, Fukunaga, & Botea, 2013).
- Manufactured products: The products of a business organisation can be developed after making a use of robotics. The mechanical merchandises can be produced in a way that the faults can merely be noticed. As its consequence, the company need not face any trouble regarding the quality of the products. So the firm does not need to implement the mechanical experts for improving the defects of the products (Shi, 2011).
- Utilisation of working area:The practice of robotics helps the organisation to increase the gap of the surface area of the firm. As a result, the other functions of the agency can be done in those areas. This whole thing helps the company to generate other working function which brings a positive approach to the production of necessary items.
- Reduction of wastage products: In an organisation, the usage of robotics helps the firm to decrease the products which are not relevant to the company. As a result, the company does not need to buy or manage the raw materials more in number. This whole method brings about the benefit in the artificial intelligence organisations (O’Neill, 2011).
- Attraction to the consumers:It is quite observed that the mechanical items which are used to be produced by the human resources are not attractive enough to customers. In fact, the items which are manufactured by the robots are quite attractive to the consumers as the consumers think that the robots do not make any mistake in the matter of manufacturing.
- Safety issue: The workers of a business organisation have to face troubles regarding the safety issue. They often have to go through several difficulties as they have to pull up and down many products and machines which hold massive weight. But in the matter of robots, those safety issues are not applicable.
- The multitasking action:Human labourers need to take rest during the work. But the robots do not require such things. Apart from that, the robotics programs are functioned in such a way that they can handle many actions at the same time. This multitasking method assists the company to expand the export of the products.
Advantages
The benefits for an Artificial Intelligence company for using robotics are –
- Increase in the production: The usage of robotics in an organisation helps the firm to produce more products than using the human efforts. In an artificial intelligence company in Brisbane, the functions of robotics should be applied in a way that the company can bring the increase in the production house. It is obvious that the works of an artificial company have been done using different kinds of machines. But many human workers have to operate those machines. But if the robots can replace those persons then the necessary of those people will perish. As a result, the time of the production house can be saved, and the enlargement of the company will be seen (Yaghoobi, Bakhshimazdeh, & Alikhasi, 2014).
- Accuracy in the products:It is quite obvious that human kinds are born for doing some nuisance or mistakes in their work. In every kind of organisations, these things use to be noticed. So if the Brisbane-based artificial intelligence team makes a usage of robotics, then the accuracy of the products can be obtained. People do mistake because of lack of concentration. This happens because sometimes people get distracted because of emotions. But the robots are made without any emotions. Robots do not have any feeling. So the robots can do their jobs according to the instructions which are given in the programming by using computer languages. The robots can do the exact pair of works which are mentioned to do (Cole, 2013).
- Savings in the production house: The robots are used to bring the cost price in the company in the matter of output house. This method helps the company to increase the number of produced items.
Disadvantages
- Limitation in work: The usage of robots makes the actions of the production house limited within some functions. The human workers are often found to handle many significant works which are involved in the management and human resource development program (Wolfslag, Plooij, Babuška, & Wisse, 2015).
- Taking learning: The administration of the artificial intelligence use to advise the workers to the actions according to the situation. But the robots are not able to obtain that advice or instruction. So this matter becomes complicated for the organisational unit (Gallagher, & Ueda, 2013).
- Electric consumption: The usage of robots can amplify the usage of electric consumption. This consumption of electricity boosts the production cost more than the usage of human workers.
- Difficulty to handle:Sometimes the handling of the robots becomes one of the most difficulties for artificial intelligence. The company needs to recruit some faculties which will look after the robots and the robot’s instruments (Flint, Lepone, & Yang, 2013).
- Problems in finances: Sometimes it can be observed that the artificial intelligence companies have to face difficulties regarding the financial problems. The expense of the robotic instruments becomes so high that the company cannot get marginal profit from the business.
Conclusion:
The purpose of the assignment is to flourish the differentiation and usage of robotics have been described. The technology of robotics is used in the medical sector, cultivation, spacecraft and also in the matter of protection of a nation. In the medical sector, the operations can easily be done, and the patients get well as soon as possible. The microsurgery is always done using the robotic technology. The national armies of a country like Australia get the advantage in the sector because in some of the areas the armies cannot be sent. So the usage of robotics takes place. Apart from this, the robotics helps an artificial intelligence of Australia to make the strategies which are helpful for the organisation. The involvement of the robotics somewhat is brought about the advantages and disadvantages into an organisation. The production of the merchandises and cost price during the time does happen during the strategy.
Different Types of Robots
The technology of robotics is the current topic of the assignment. In this assessment, the good or bad sectors of the robotics are asked. In the first question of the assignment the definition, differentiation of the robotics and the use of robotic technology are asked. The usage of the robotic technology is implemented in diverse parts of the humankind. The knowledge of the first question can be getting if someone reads the points as the definition of robotic technology, different types of robots, and the current use of robotic technology. On the other hand, in the second question is asked about the future of an industry by applying the robotic technology in the strategic movement. This learning outcome also covers the positive points and difficulty of the robotic technology. The points that cover the second question are robotic technology that can be implemented in the future of an organisation and the advantages and disadvantages of robotic technology.
