These animals are in unhealthy environments where they atre being terrorized. They are being forced to do things they don’t want to do. Horse racing shoud be banned because hundreds of horses die each year,they are abused,and at times they are drugged.
Hundreds of horses die or go to slaughter annually. The thoroughbred industry sends around 10,000 horses to slaughter annually. Two-thirds of the horses that go to the slaughterhouse are quarter horses and cast offs from the rodeo or the racing industry. The equine death and breakdown report list are horses that have brokendown,been hurt,or have died at the new york tracks.why support a industry that kills their employees’ when they do so much for them?
The horses are abused.
They are the only animals to be beaten for public entertainment. Race horses are forced to sprint under the threat of whips and illegal electric shocking devices. Under the threat of whips and electric shocking devices they run at speeds so fast they frequently injure themselves and even hemorrhage. These horses win money and trophies for there owners and still get beat they go out there do there best to perform well,but still get beat for what reasons?
The horses are drugged to make them run faster. Almost every horse in the racing industry is given a drug called Furosemide sold under the name “Lasix”.
Did you know they are drugged every two to three weeks? Lasix makes they horse urinate a lot of water the less they weight the faster they run people often bid on the “lasix” horse because they know it will win. I don’t understand why they threat there employees’ this way sending them to a slaughterhouse,beating them,and drugging them. Send them to a good home and take time out of your day to work with them. Help us get horses out of an unhealthy enviroment. They are being killed {slaughtered} annually instead of going to good homes. They are being beaten instead of there owners taking time out of there day to work with them to help them get better at whatever they are doing. They are drugged every two to three weeks with drugs that will kill them. Horse racing should be banned because hundreds of horses are killed each year,they are being abused,and at times they are drugged.
