Mobile phones are very much popular in today’s time due to its usability and user friendliness. This popularity has led to the increasing sales of mobile phones. Mobile equipment’s can be divided into four categories – Nonintelligent devices (have almost no features of intelligence), cell network based mobile devices (Generally called mobile phones), smart mobile gadgets (have some modern day features other than calling) and mobile phones which have operating systems (like Android, Symbian etc.). Users of mobile phones are able to access various kind of services (through applications) anytime and anywhere. The fundamental focus here is to make applications an integral part of the environment so that mobile phone user can interact with the device and do computing on it without knowing the details. To do that, application developers have to consider the hardware and software (OS part) characteristics of a particular mobile device and then start developing application for it for example an application made for Android based mobiles will not work on Apple iPhones like that.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 smartphone has a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixel and (Pixel Per Inch) PPI of 401. It has Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 2GHz frequency. As far as memory is concerned this mobile has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Memory storage can be expanded up to 128GB through microSD card. Camera quality is very good in this model. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel shooter camera for great selfies at front.
Android 6.0 is the OS version in Redmi Note 4 and a non-removable battery of 4100mAh gives this mobile a long-lasting power. The dimensions of this mobile are 151.00 x 76.00 x 8.30 (height x width x thickness) and weight is just 175.00 grams. It is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) phone which slots are Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM compatible. For data connectivity this mobile has Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB OTG. Compass Magnetometer, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor and Gyroscope are some sensors in the phone.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 was launched in the Indian market on 19th Jan 2017 via online sale (Only) on two major websites www.flipcart.com and www.amazon.in. This popular mobile phone was also available on flash sale on Xiaomi’s Indian website https://www.mi.com/in.
- As per the data available on flipcart.comtotal 73,244 no of reviews and 337,666 ratings have been given till now. The average rating is 4.4 stars (where 5-star rating is for the best and 1 star is for the worst). Out of 337,666 ratings given, 227,152 are 5-star, 68,003 are 4-star, 17,276 are 3-star, 6,691 are 2-star and 18,544 are 1-star ratings. The response for this model was superb and till today this mobile phone is leading in the market in its category.
- Awinaash Sharma (Certified buyer, 25thJan 2017) – Got the phone on next day at my home. Till today I am very satisfied. It is very fast, camera quality is very good, 64GB/4GB variant in this much low price, 2GHz speed and metal finish. I can’t expect more in this price. I am very satisfied.

Conclusion
Redmi Note 4 is a flagship mobile phone of Xiaomi. This is one of the best phone available in the market in its category. 5.5-inch touch screen is idle for day to day working and entertainment, movie and game purpose. 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 625 octa-core gives this phone amazing power whereas 64GB internal memory gives a more than sufficient space for big applications. We can say that this mobile phone is one of the best gadget a person can have.
