Introduction to Business Research
Discuss about the Reflective Learning For The Social Work.
In this overall post-graduate programme, I have learnt about conducting the business research. Business research is a broad term in which the researcher can learn about conducting the research. In this unit, we have been taught about the business research that seeks to engage the students in order to apply the knowledge in different research methodology. As stated by Gould and Taylor (2017), research methodology is a systematic planning of collecting the data for the research. In this unit, I have learnt about doing the research proposal and research proposal is the first step of doing the research for the business in which the researcher proposes the thought and objectives of conducting the research. I have kept the learning journal in which I have mentioned the subjects of reading for each week. The learning experience is the interaction, programme, course and other experience in which the learning takes place. This learning can take place in traditional academic places like university rooms and non-traditional setting as well. After completing this course unit, I am now able to do the research and collect the data for the research independently. Therefore, the learning experience is successful for my side as I have been able to do the research proposal on Assignment 1 and Assignment 2. In these assignments, I have developed the research proposal based on ‘advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing in businesses’.
There has always been a passion for me to conduct the business research all by myself. This unit has fulfilled my passion for knowing the process of collecting data and conducting the research process. Learning, however, cannot be completed through just completing the coursework; students need to learn about the overall practical process of applying the idea. On the learner spectrum, the content does not team the students about placing the material on the positive learning outcome. Hence, I want to apply the value of this learning in my future life where I will use my education in my career perspective.
This course taught us about the business research process and students wrote about the individual reflective journal over the duration of 12 weeks. The critical analysis of learning process has been reflected in the journal. There were total 12 weeks and we have been taught 12 different topics of research methodology. I have also learnt about the literature review process and literature review is the report to improve the critical learning of the secondary data. After successful completion of the unit, I have been able to review the progress of learning goal related to the business research. Therefore, the Business Research course has made us able to demonstrate the understanding of the research planning process and business research methods. I have been able to show the importance of the professional ethics and I can now recognise the ethical dilemma in the business process. In addition, after completing the course, I now can evaluate the concept of business research and apply the concepts of business research on different research scenario.
The Role of Research Methodology in Business Research
In this programme, we have been taught on different topics on business research. In the first week, I have been taught on literature review, research design, ethics and legal consideration of doing the business research. After the few weeks, we have learnt the nature of the qualitative research, participants’ observation and the sampling process. The teacher taught us about the quantitative research process. I learnt about the interviewing the participants and focus group.
I can apply this research and learning on my future career. I want to be a manager of a multinational organisation where I will share my knowledge of business research. Business research is a vast concept and I am now able to collect the data for the business research. In future, I will be able to train my team members regarding the business research. In business, it is very important to learn about primary market analysis for the business and it is also very significant to learn about doing the market research following both secondary and primary data.
In addition, I have completed reflective journal which helped me to understand the business research concept. In addition, I have understood some of the concepts that I did not know before. I am now able to compare and contrast business research proposal and various research methodologies to a specific business research project.
I have done the research proposal through primary data analysis and I am intended to do the survey. I have done the significant amount of desktop research in order to get the idea about the research topic. I have read the significant amount of journals, articles, printouts, books, magazines and websites so that I can get the idea of the research. I have read many blogs of outsourcing so that I can get the idea of outsourcing in business clearly. In addition, I have watched many YouTube videos and the research links shared through the web portal in order to get the idea of conducting the business research. I have heard about the teachers’ comments and lectures and seminars based on the business research in order to get the idea of the topic and the unit contents.
A great learning can help the learner to add value to career and this Business Research unit will help the students to get sufficient idea of the market research (Katz 2015). This means the students are helping them to understand some specific areas of learning what they did not have any idea before. A great learning experience mainly focuses on being effective first and then to be interactive on the process of learning. Business Research learning will help the students to get the idea of data collection and the methodology; therefore, the learning experience that promotes further learning in market research is fulfilled. It might be the starting point and we might know more when we will apply the learning in practical life
Concept and Importance of Research Proposal
The learning process is quite subjective for as I have learned quite a few things from my class. The classes are quite enthusiastic for and I learned how to frame a research methodology in my class. The practical implementation of my learning in assignment 2, where I have chosen “Outsourcing process in Business” and I signifies some problem in outsourcing. The major feeling that I have chosen this topic is to evaluate the outsourcing chances in business and Australia is quite good in outsourcing process so this topic is relevant for the business outcome (Christensen, Wildgaard and Wildgaard 2016). The business topic is useful for the research and some primary questions like open-ended questions and close-ended questions have been asked me into managers and employees respectively. The basic feeling of doing assignment 1 and 2 is to evaluate the state of business process and also state the activities for the organization (Katz 2015). There some challenges that I have faced during the entire course but the clarified findings are the key issue that help me to make a huge leap in that case.
The aspect of active learning and applied future opportunities are quite as the learning session is quite interesting for me. It helps me to understand the entire research methodology and that has been reflected in assignment 2 where I have done this entire thing. The perspective of future and apply this learning will help me to become a leader and also deliver some decision making and leadership skills that influence my business opportunities (Gould and Taylor 2017). I have passed through the objectivities of learning and also understand the learning opportunities will help me in future in form of better managerial aspect. I have done both the assignments and find the methodology in business is the important aspect to think elaborate and make some effective use of learning course that evolved my future opportunities as well. In case of outsourcing business function where I need to know my potential and that asserted and reflected through my learning sections and that is the most influencing and motivating part of my learning phase and it will help me for my future outcomes.
