Answer 1
Discuss about the Investigation Of Time Management Skills Of Student.
I am working as a retailer in the ANZ Bank Australia for the past six months. By working in a MNC, I have the opportunity to interact with a diverse workforce. In this way, I have imbibed relevant experience and a sound knowledge in providing administrative support during cultural conflict. For instance, there was a conflict within the bank between two employees regarding their habit of greeting. One employee was used to shaking hands whereas the other one was accustomed to bowing. Shaking hands was not accepted as a good gesture in the culture of the second employee so he got very angry on the first employee. In such a case, I resolved the conflict by explaining them the reason for their difference in greeting style. They were convinced by my interaction skills and the heated situation was cooled down. This incident has taught me that I possess the required skills of being a good communicator.
Before joining ANZ bank in Australia, I used to work as a liquor- land manager and customer service manager. Having an experience of 2- 3 years, I was well aware of the techniques that are used in managing clients from diverse background. I have always worked in teams in both my previous and present companies. Therefore, I am acquainted with the detailed procedure of managing and working in a diverse team. In my present company, the offices are located in different countries and the issue of virtual team is prominent. There was communication barrier due to employees belonging from different countries. One employee could not understand the meaning and interpretation of the other employees. In this way, there was a raging issue of miscommunication among the employees. Therefore, I suggested that social media needs to be used effectively in order to bridge the gap among virtual teams.
Apart from managing the virtual teams in my company, I have also showed my skills in managing office support technology. As I did a diploma in computer science, therefore I had a good knowledge of Microsoft office as well as other computer software. It was not a normal working day and the technical team was not present. A severe issue was found in the computer of the HR manager where he could not find the personal list of all the employees. Although it was saved, but the file could nowhere be found. I took a lead in that crisis and showed my ability by recovering the files from my sound knowledge in computer. Everyone and specially the HR manager could not help to thank me for saving the most important documents. I also helped him by creating a back up of the documents, which will be of immense help for similar crisis in the future.
Answer 2
In my previous company, I was involved in a leadership workshop, which has helped me in acquiring the skills of a potential leader. Therefore, when I was offered the position of leading the retailing team in ANZ bank I could not help but the grab the opportunity immediately. Leadership was my innate characteristic and the workshop helped in enhancing the same. As it as mentioned in my job resume therefore I was assigned with the tasks of administering the banking activities apart from looking over the retailing activities. I came out successfully in both the job roles as mentioned by the bank manager and it helped in adjusting the required workflow. This was possible because I had conditioned myself as per the job priorities and allocated specific time accordingly. In this way, I managed to work in both the positions without hampering either of the two.
As I was in the position of dealing with the clients for 2- 3 years therefore, I could read their pulse easily in comparison to the other individuals in my department. I never lost patience in answering numerous queries of the customers throughout the day. Especially in banking position, customers have a trend in clarifying things more as it is related to money matters. I always helped them in addressing their queries and issue and provided potential solution for the same. The customers were always satisfied with my problem- solving skills as I lend a patient hearing to them. Once I had successfully pacified a client who was ready to file a complaint regarding his issue. I used my extraordinary oratory skills in that case in order to calm down the situation and retain the client.
As I have done graduation in journalism and mass communication, therefore I have developed high- level skills in all the three areas of interpersonal, verbal and written communication. My work experience in client serving was helpful in enhancing my verbal skills. My prior experience of interning with a magazine company helped me in developing my writing skills as well. I could use my verbal and interpersonal communication skills in addressing the issues of the customers and the writing skills were used in the administrative process. For instance, my manager could rely on me whenever there was a need of negotiation with the workforce of the organization. My remarkable communication skills were helpful in swaying the workforce regarding sensitive issues such as delayed salary or no incentive. I could easily mix up with the employees and convince them to adjust to a crisis when the bank was facing financial issues.
Answer 3
Recently, ANZ bank was facing severe financial issues, as there was an economic downturn in Australia. In that case, it was not possible for the bank to maintain all its transactions and business over the entire world. This crisis required an efficient person to pacify the raging workforce. Again, I was called for fulfilling my role as an efficient communicator. I dealt with the delicate situation very carefully as one wrong step could result in spilling of the coffee. I started with describing them a situation and asked or their opinion. When everyone shared their thoughts, I mentioned them about the real reason for asking the same. I did not face any kind of difficulty, it prevented in chaos, and commotion among the employees and my intention was fulfilled. They easily agreed to my proposal of compromising on their compensation and benefits for the time being for supporting the crisis faced by ANZ bank.
There was a situation when I was appointed as a retailer to identify the needs of the internal or external stakeholder. The role of the stakeholders is more prominent when the organization has to deal with the public directly. The stakeholders, especially the external ones are able to gauge the market condition and inform about the same to the organization. The financial crisis was realized beforehand as I had requested the manager to appoint external stakeholders for the betterment of the company. I had used my written communication skills to appoint the most suitable stakeholders for the company. I was involved in interviewing the candidates along with the HR manager to select the most suitable one. The process was successful as the external stakeholders helped in evaluating the market beforehand and warned about the upcoming economic downturn.
The stakeholders were extremely satisfied after working under my supervision. They mentioned that their prior experience of working in other companies were not as good as ANZ bank in Australia. They were allowed to work independently in this company and they could happily put their 100% effort in the same. This open communication with the stakeholders helped me in building an effective relationship with them. I went on personal grounds and lent kind ears to their issues and personal problems. They could open up to me as I patiently provided them with potential solutions to their problems. This building up of relationship helped me in knowing about their grudges against ANZ bank and I pacified them again with my good communication skills. This helped in saving the company image from being hampered and at the same time, reliable stakeholders were retained by the bank.

Another important part of my character was being punctual and effectively managing tasks on time. In my school days, I was presented with an award for being the most punctual student in class. I used it as a positive part of my character and got appreciation from my manager too. When I was allocated variety of tasks such as managing the technical part, leading a team along with the core function of retailing, my manager was doubtful if I would be able to manage all these effectively. I proved him wrong with my time management skills, which helped me in doing all my work diligently without wasting time. I made a schedule and categorized my tasks based on priority and urgency. It helped m in doing the urgent tasks immediately and thus, time was left for completing the less urgent tasks. After school, in ANZ bank too, I was rewarded for being and excellent multi- tasker who did not compromise on time.
As it is mentioned throughout this paper, all my life I have always been an excellent communicator in terms of written, verbal or oral communication. Possessing such effective skills has always helped me in whatsoever sphere I worked. In school, I was appointed as the school captain and in both my companies; I was assigned with the critical tasks of leading and managing teams or individuals. In comparison to my co- workers, I got better and rapid opportunity to lead teams because of my excellent communication skills. Gradually my skills were enhanced and I became more confident in delivering speech or any written documents. My suggestion to make effective use of social media impressed the manager and therefore, I was assigned with the work of leading virtual teams. Apart from my oratory skills, negotiation skills also played an important role in managing various kinds of tasks effectively.
I belonged to the IT department and therefore none could compete me in presenting sound knowledge in computer. The initial instance of backing up the data of HR manager became a standard benchmark and therefore, any further technological issues were directly forwarded to me. I was supervising so many tasks and an extra burden of data entry was imposed on me. As usual, I did not hesitate to take up the new opportunity because I was confident about my multi- tasking skills and time management too. I used the software Oracle to make the task of managing financial task easy for the technological department. The technological department was impressed, as they did not use this software before. Their work became easy and they could keep a track of the financial data by using this software.

In one rare situation, I had to support a client company where I faced obstacles from the ANZ bank. The clients wanted to get a project done by the bank; however, they were offering a low price. ANZ immediately rejected the offer due to the low price. I took a stand against my company because I was aware of the lucrative offer. My entire company went against me and treated me as a traitor. I had to struggle hard for convincing them that it will not be a right decision to reject this client company, as they will help in providing us with a large market share in the upcoming days. They were previously a client of our rival company and therefore, accepting their offer would give us a competitive advantage in the market. After much discussion and meeting, the manager finally agreed to support my decision. From this instance, I learned that communication is such an effective toll that it can be used for and against to attain the required objective.
