From this I learn about the OPM. OPM comes with certain benefits and in this learn presentation I learn about the beneficial aspects that OPM offers

The organisational PM must align the project , program and the objectives the enterprises take must align to the organisation’s context, structure, situation and the context. There are several benefits that OPM offers like increased customer satisfaction, alignment of strategy and execution, competitive advantage, effective operations, improved cost control, improved market competencies, improved communications. The project manager, business analyst and the entire project management team, the parent organisation and customer’s organisation need to predict the project success. The project manager must focus on the visibility, credibility, priority and the accessibility. He is also responsible to find out the best practice levels.

Week 5 Lecture Presentation

From the presentation I learn that the project manager must opt for the best project management practices. The best practices can help the enterprises to gain the competitive advantage

The presentation file explains the simple steps required for analysing the readiness. Basically there are three steps associated for analysing the readiness. At first, three alternatives are taken into consideration. The three steps that are considered are – continuous improvement, organisational change management and the sustained leadership. In the consecutive step, the business analyst performs the feasibility study. The feasibility study is measured in terms of both strategic need and cost-benefit position. It is the responsibility of the project manager to assess the current scenario of the organisation. After that a blueprint is prepared by the project manager, the project stakeholders must follow the project plan and perform the activities accordingly. The business analyst captures the rationale of the OPM. Later the business analyst set the parameters for completing the project successfully. The business analyst will carry out the feasibility test and later on the basis of the feasibility report the project manager analyse the objectives of the project. He analyses in details what are the main goals of the organisation, what are they trying to achieve. Along with preparing the project plan, the project manager with the business analyst performs the project risks analysis. The cost-benefit analysis is also conducted and the cost schedule is created. The stakeholders can be able to know what is budget allocated for each activities and what is the overall budget of the project. The feasibility analysis will be carried out. It will help to know whether the project can be beneficial for them or not.

Week 6 Lecture Presentation

I learn from the presentation that the project manager and his team must follow proper project methodologies. The implementation of OPM framework has been demonstrated in the presentation. The OPM framework can prove to be beneficial, it can assist them to find out the latest organisation structure and the future improvement scope

The enterprises will have to asses in details what they actually desire. The organisation will have to decide what actually they want and what their future goals are. The future goals of the project depends on the strategy thy will take now. The business analyst will assist in taking critical decisions. The management team with the help of the project methodology can be able to enhance the business operations of the organisations. The project methodology can improvise the business operations of the company. Prince2 can bring them immense benefits to the enterprises. There are several themes of Prince2 like the project risks, project plans, project quality, and the project progress. The Prince2 methodology also comes with principles like the continued project justification, project roles and responsibilities, learning lessons, managing by sessions and at last managing by exception.  The project plan will be developed by the project manager in accordance to the project deliverables. The procedures associated with project delivery are project initiation and proper direction of project. The project manager will have to take up the responsibility to manage the stage boundary of project and the delivery of the project. At the end comes the project closure. It is the responsibility of the business analyst to make the critical decisions so that the business performance can get improvised. They must communicate with the stakeholders as effective communication can assist in conducting the business activities both ethically and efficiently. The decision making as well as the effective communication must be accountable for the project. The project manager as well as business analyst must facilitate the cross-functional integration.

From this unit Iearn that the project manager must focus on the project deliverables and the project methodologies. According to me, They can be able to bring organised structure, they can be perform the business activities with efficiency

The project manager and the stakeholders of a particular project are bound to follow the project methodologies. The project methodologies will bring a structure and will assist them in performing the project ethically and efficiently. The project managing and the business analyst will have to analyse whether the project is aligned to the project objectives or not. They will have to adopt a certain project methodology that will help them to perform the project methodologies. Prince2 is one such methodology that can help them to accomplish the project within the fixed deadline. The regulations and the policies of the Prince2 can assist them in conducting the project methodology perfectly, in this way they can finish the project ethically and efficiently. The project manager must design the organisation PM. The organisation PM defines the procedures of the project maintaining the constant format of documentation. The project methodology is associated with certain governance policies. The project manager by following the governance policies can be able to maintain continuous management of the project. The continuous management policies also aids in decision making. The project manager by following the project methodologies can be able to accomplish the task activities timely. The project manager before assigning the project stakeholders to the stakeholders must assess the project stakeholders’ skills and the experts. If the stakeholders of the project are skilled enough then the project will be completed within the given timeframe with efficiency. Thus, initially the project manager will have to analyse the project deliverables, after that he will have to analyse the project stakeholders. Again, the project consists of gaps The gaps must be assesses with care and the project manager and the business analyst will have to find out any gaps. They must take up the intervention strategies, must analyse the project manager and the project manager and the project manager and the analyst the project and the project manage and the project. They must analyse the project in terms of the SMART objectives. The SMART goals consists of the Specific, Attainable, Time-Focussed, Results and the Measurable. The project manager will have to analyse the risks and must mitigate the risks.

Week 8 Lecture Presentation

From the presentation I come to know that the project manager and his team must work in accordance to the deliverables and must accomplish the project in accordance to the clients’ demands. In this way they can achieve the best result for the project

The project manager prepares the project plan. The stakeholders assigned for the project will have to work in accordance to the project objectives. They can follow the Prince2 methodology; the Prince2 methodology can help them to perform the business objectives in an organised way. The stakeholders of the project can be able to know what they will have to do now. The WBS explains all the project activities in details. The project plan prepared by the project manager contains the list of activities along with start date, end date and project dependencies and the project budget. The stakeholders appointed should follow the project methodology as well as they must follow the project methodologies. In case of software project they can carry out the following steps- initiation, Planning, system concept, analysis, design and the development.
