About UNICEF Child Care
Question:
Discuss about the Information Systems Analysis and Design of UNICEF Child Care.
UNICEF Child Care is administered by a group of people. The chairman of the organisation is John Smith. UNICEF Child Care’s headquarter is located in Sydney. The organisation generally works for the children whose ranges six weeks to thirteen. UNICEF Child Care provides foods and other services to the children. They also provide teachers and nannies those who take care of the children and support. Thus UNICEF assures healthy growth and development of the children. The parents who want similar service for their children register with UNICEF and take their service. The parents only have to pay a minimal charge and they can get service from UNICEF.
UNICEF comes with numerous objectives-
- To create a platform where UNICEF Child Care can stay connected with the parents all the time throughout day and night 24×7
- To manage the stock level of the supplies products in the five centres- Melbourne, Rock Hampton, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney of UNICEF Child Care
- To develop a system so that the stock products can be collected and managed easily
- To send yearly statement to the parents
- To convey thank you reply message to the parents those who want to pay the fees over online platform
UNICEF Child Care needs to employ IT team. They may take help from any third party vendor. It will be better for UNICEF Child Care to appoint an IT team for enhancing their business. The IT team will develop a cloud platform and suitable software where UNICEF can deploy the business applications over the cloud platform. UNICEF can be benefitted by adopting CRM Accounting software. The organisation can take up the cloud services from Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS. Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure are two most popular cloud vendor who delivers the cloud computing services. UNICEF Child Care can be benefitted by the CRM accounting software developed by the IT team. The employees of the five branches of the UNICEF can stay connected with each other all the time. The admin staff can review the stock level of the supplies products constantly and can order according to their needs. The employees can communicate with the parents and can provide assistance to them in need.
The IT team have the appropriate skill and expertise to develop the software. The IT Support Team will implement and configure the CRM accounting software across the five branches of UNICEF Child Care- Rock Hampton, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. They will provide training to the employees and admin staff of UNICEF Child Care. They must employ IT team. The in-house IT team will provide 24×7 services and support. The CRM accounting software will benefit hem in the long run.
System Requirements can be classified into two groups- one is functional requirements and the other one is the non-functional requirements.
The functional requirements for the organisation are-
- Integrated system implementation and configuration will be carried out in real time. The integrated system is dependent on continuous periodic updates
- Common database will be utilised by UNICEF Child Care’s employees in the five branches of UNICEF- Rock Hampton, Gold Coast, Sydney and Brisbane
iii. IT Support Team appointed by the UNICEF will implement the software. The software will be deployed on Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud server. The IT Support team will have to implement the antivirus program in the system in all the five branches; the antivirus program will assure safety and security of the organisation’s system and the database.
- UNICEF will have to spend heavy to take up the CRM accounting software, however, they will have to accept it as the CRM software will benefit them in the long run. The IT team of UNICEF Child Care will make sure the software gets developed within scheduled time and budget.
The non-functional requirements for the organisation are-
- The CRM accounting must be made in such away so that the employees and the admin staff can use the software very easily. Therefore, the software must be user-friendly.
- The in-house IT team will have to design the software in a way such that the software can be restored to its original form very easily if it gets corrupted. The IT team will have to assure that no data get lost during the CRM accounting software’s restoration.
- The IT team will have to assure security of UNICEF Child Care. They will have to make sure that the data should not hacked by the intruders by any means.

The project manager prepares the project plan. The project plan defined above consists of all the summary activities. The start date, the finish date of every project tasks can be known from the project plan. The Work Breakdown Structure explains the activities of the project in details. The Work Breakdown Structure shows all the activities associated with the project in details. The diagram also shows the project dependencies of all the project activities. The project goal is to design CRM accounting software. The software will enhance the business operations of the organisation. UNICEF employee can communicate with the parents online. The parents can be able to pay the fess online. Thus with the aid of the software they can be able to serve the customers 24×7. The software will facilitate them in checking the stock level of the supplies products.
UNICEF needs to appoint an IT team. The IT team will develop the CRM accounting software. The IT team appointed will design the software. The software will help them to carry out the business operations in agile and effective way. The software will give error free results. The IT team will set up the software on the cloud server and will run.
The scope of the project is to develop the CRM software that will enhance the business operations of the UNICEF. The software will let them to manage the inventory. Again, the software can help them to communicate with other employees across the five branches. The parents with the aid of this software can be able to pay the fees. The CRM software will send thank you message to the parents. The software will also send yearly statement to the parents.

The three investigation techniques- ‘Gathering Information’, ’Defining System Requirements’ and ‘Prioritise System Requirements’ have been considered useful by the consultant. ‘Gathering Information’ explains the causes behind the development of the CRM software. ‘Prioritise System Requirements’ explains several uses of the software. ‘Defining System Requirements’ explains the operations related to the CRM accounting software.
The project manager with the aid of ‘Gathering Information’ can be able to know the possible reasons behind implementation of CRM accounting software. The parents can be facilitated with the implementation of the software. They can be able to pay the fees online. Due to the implementation of the CRM accounting software, the employee staff can be able to communicate with each other across the five branches. Besides the stock level can be better managed with the help of the software.
UNICEF Child Care needs to appoint an IT team; the IT team will design the CRM software for them. The CRM software will update the stock availability of the supplies products. The admin can be aware of the exact number of supplies products required for the organisation and can order them accordingly. The software will facilitate the parents so that they can pay the fees online. The parents will get yearly statement as well. The ‘Defining System Requirements’ thus explain all the activities that CRM software can perform.
UNICEF Child Care requires managing the inventory stock level. The software will provide several benefits like it will help the employees so that they can communicate with each other. ‘Prioritise System Requirements’ give details of the usability of the CRM accounting software.
Reflections and Conclusions
According to my opinion UNICEF Child Care must take up the CRM software to enhance the business activities. The employee staff across the five branches can be able to stay connected with each other all the time. The admin can be able to know the inventory stock and can order items that are required. I believe that the CRM accounting software will save lot of time of the admin as well as the employee staff. They will fast and error free solution. The CRM software will evaluate the data and will send the yearly statement to the parents. The parents will pay fees online and the software will keep record of the financial data as well. Thus, I believe that the CRM software will facilitate UNICEF Child Care a lot in mere future.
It can be concluded from the above discourse that the UNICEF Child Care’s business activities will be embellished with the implementation of the CRM accounting software. Several beneficial aspects of the software have been illustrated in the report. The software will help to evaluate the financial data, to manage the inventory as well. The software can prove to be useful for the parents and the employees of UNICEF Child Care.
