Argument Research Essay Instructions for reference-
Please choose a debatable issue from the PDF 200 Prompts for Argumentative Writing, decide on your stance, and compose a thesis statement that clearly presents your stance and general reasoning. This thesis should be academic in tone (do not use I/me) and should be composed as a statement.
Write 7-10 pages double-spaced with a minimum of 7 scholarly sources from a GALILEO search. You may use other sources above the minimum 7 from GALILEO if you would like. Be sure that all sources are credible sources of information and are appropriate for a research essay.
Your essay should include an introduction with thesis/position statement at the end, background information about the issue, a minimum of three supporting reasons, discussion of the opposing side’s position giving credit where it is due and refuting any logical fallacies, and a strong closing emphasizing your position. This paper should have an academic tone and, therefore, should be written in third-person point-of-view (avoid you, your, I, me, my, us, etc.).
This paper is 15 percentage points of your final average.
