Take notes as you read this chapter/reading. Look for information that is in bold, underlined, highlighted, placed in a bullet list, presented in a box, or set off using color.
In the summary you must include the title of the chapter/reading. The summary needs to have a clear thesis or topic sentence that indicates the main focus of both your summary and the entire chapter. The summary needs to be 1 full page in length (do not exceed 1 1/2 pages) and include the main points you found in the chapter. This should be a condensed version of the reading. Do not include examples in the summary.
Remember, the summary should be double spaced and include a four line MLA heading.
