A stream is the flow of characters into and out of a program. Almost every program requires an input from the user and/or other resources. For example, users may type in an address from the keyboard or an address could already be saved on the computer. The job of the program is to process these inputs and output a result. This chapter examines I/O stream objects and introduces you to the concept of objects and classes.
How do you format outputs? What are some potential use files for I/O?
