We will as we have always attempted to do, require from every student the best performance of which that student is capable. Beyond this, we will keep before us the reality that we carry a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of the community in general. Our attitude must be one of pride and self-determination. According to your textbook, what do effective leaders do to reduce or eliminate resistance to change?

According to Lussier & Achua, effective leaders can minimize resistance to change by employing the best strategies. They will figure it out and take it as a challenge. One way is to become a good listener and be open to feedback from followers. Leaders must also be willing to communicate before, during, and after a change as this will help with misunderstandings. Effective leaders avoid micromanaging and allow people to implement the change. Overall a leader needs to have a plan in place to ensure that people are comfortable with expressing how they feel about changes as well as a climate that supports change. It is also important to make sure that change efforts are adequately staffed and funded. Effective leaders encourage people to be creative and to become part of the change process. A great team is made up of people who work well together and understand each other.
