These papers will be submitted via (by 10am on the last day, can be submitted early), with a length of no more than 1500 words, typed in Times New Roman with 1-inch margins, and must use your Eagle ID# (not your name) in the top right hand corner of the first page, and include page numbers in the lower right corner, and your final word count after your last paragraph.
NOTE: Please use Word (.doc or .docx) with “your Eagle ID# Worship Paper” as the title of the document, so I can comment within your paper fairly and return it to you electronically with the grading rubric. If you run into a problem uploading by 10am on the deadline, please immediately email your paper to me if it is not uploaded or emailed by 10am it is late.
Grammar, spelling and style matter! If you are unfamiliar with basic forms of argumentation, please use the writing resources listed in the syllabus. Also I encourage you to write drafts and edit – this practice will always help your final essay. I am happy to meet to discuss your papers, but in fairness to the grading process I will not read drafts.
Brevity is more challenging than excessive length. I want you to be able to present a convincing thesis, supporting arguments, and critical view on your thesis in a short space. It will always help to start with more content and then determine what best makes your argument in the 1500 words.
Citations and direct references to texts should be included in every paper. Since we are only using class sources for readings, you do not need to include a bibliography, however please include all sources for information on the congregation you visited.
