Instructions
The purpose of this assignment is to compare the relationship between the main characters in Enemy Mine to the Church’s efforts at interreligious dialogue and the precepts of ecumenism we have gone over in class.
With that in mind, please answer the essay questions found on the corresponding Answer Sheet. Refer both Unitatis Redintegratio (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. and Nostra Ætate (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.in your responses.
Remember that Enemy Mine is the second required text for the class, and will not be found in the reading materials folder (copyright issues). Let me know if you are experiencing any difficulties procuring a copy.
Do not summarize unless you need to do so to make a point. (I have read Enemy Mine. Many times.)
Formatting
Calibri 11pt; double-spacing; 2 ENTIRE pages (minimum and maximum).
Use in-text citations for all sacred texts (e.g. Jb 38: 4), and Chicago Manual of Style (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. for all other texts (with the exception that there should be no double-spacing in the footnotes and bibliography).
Files should be .doc or .docx; .pdf only if uploading to Canvas. No .pages files.
Use universal language (e.g. “humankind” not “mankind”).
Bibliographic Information (use for citations)
This is one of the required texts for this course. You will find the information you need in your copy of the text.
Evaluation
In the case no extension is requested, one point will be deducted per day late.
