For citation purposes, the title of the site is “American Passages: A Literary Survey” and the publisher is Annenberg Learning. As the individual pages are anonymously authored, your Works Cited entry should begin with the title of the page, for example “Phillis Wheatley” or “Ralph Waldo Emerson,” followed by the site’s title, publisher, copyright date (2017), date of access and URL. In-text citations may read (American Passages, Wheatley), or whichever author you are accessing.
That said, the majority of your discussion should involve the author’s actual works as they were discussed in class, not historical or other background information. Be sure to cite specific works in support of the points you make in your essay
